ALL ACCESS w/ Aditi – Aditi said she is ‘flummoxed’ by the Steelers not using Pat Freiermuth in their offense. Aditi talked about the chemistry Aaron Rodgers had with Davante Adams in all of their success in Green Bay. Aditi, like Mike Florio, said something feels a little bit different with the Steelers and Mike Tomlin this year in terms of a breakup. Aditi doesn’t see Tomlin jumping from the NFL to the college level. Aditi thinks the Ravens automatically have the advantage on Sunday because of Lamar Jackson, who she said is still one of the league’s best players.

Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said something just feels different this time with the Steelers in regards to Mike Tomlin being back next season. He referenced the times changing a bit and them going about their business differently the last few years in the off-season. Mike said the Steelers are stuck in a rut with a lot of people making a lot of money. Mike thinks Art Rooney II will sit back on this until he starts noticing more and more empty seats in the stadium because that means dollars lost. He said if he was a season-ticket holder, he would not attend the next home game (MNF 12/15 vs MIA) if they lose in an ugly way to the Ravens on Sunday. Mike thinks it’s a complicated reality with coaches thinking about the greener pastures that could be out there. Could Mike see Penn State making a play for Tomlin? Something else Ben Roethlisberger suggested was Mike Tomlin going to Penn State. After Tomlin was asked about coaching at the college level a few years ago, we can say pretty confidently that this won’t happen. Would Tomlin want to do everything that is required to be a college coach? The guys questioned if Tomlin would be as good at recruiting as everyone assumes. James Franklin happily trolled Penn State on X after pulling in a pretty good first recruiting class at Virginia Tech. We are enjoying the fall from grace in real time from State College.

Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. If the playoffs started today, the Penguins would be in – and TK believes they will make it by season’s end. He brought up a weak division and the fact that the Penguins don’t look like a team running on smoke & mirrors. Tyler said he doesn’t care what Tristan Jarry does in the regular season because it only matters how he performs in the big games and in the playoffs. TK told the guys he continually hears great things about Dan Muse and the new voice leading the team. TK thinks the players have responded so well to the change at the top. Tyler thinks Sidney Crosby will reach 40 goals this season.

Ben Roethlisberger is now on-board with Mike Tomlin moving on. He suggested the Steelers ‘clean house’ with the coaching staff. The Steelers defense proved yet again why it is one of the most disappointing units in team history. The Bills ran on them for nearly 250 yards in an Acrisure Stadium route.
