Radio voice of the Miami Marlins Jack McMullan joins the show. Jack says that Sandy Alcantara has been very inconsistent this year, but it is very possible that you get the best version of him in any given outing. Jack mentions that Otto Lopez has been very good this year and could be a thorn in the side for the Pirates this series.

Donny Football in for the guys today! Mitch Keller had another terrible outing last night, and Donny wonders what’s next for him. Keller isn’t going deep into games and Donny says that’s a problem. Is he the worst starter in the rotation? How much of an issue is the Pirates pitching currently? It appears that their pitching has gotten worse from last year.

Steve agrees with the Buccaneers in the sense that he would not pay Baker Mayfield a ridiculous amount of money. He also thinks that the Trevor Lawrence contract is justified. Steve thinks that Keeanu Benton is worth around what Turk Warton got in Carolina, so about $15 million. Steve is connected to Ben Cherington in a way. Tyler Callihan had an absolute legacy performance to fuel the Pirates’ comeback against the Dodgers yesterday. However, Callihan is not in the lineup today because there is a lefty on the mound. Jared Triolo and Marcel Ozuna are both in the lineup tonight, as they both hit lefties well. Bob Pompeani joined the show. Bob says that he will watch the World Cup from time to time this year. Bob does not think that the division is out of reach for the Pirates, and he thinks that the Pirates will be involved in the playoff race this year. Brandon Aiyuk recorded himself on Instagram calling the 49ers stupid, and saying that they’re mad they paid him a ton of money. He also said that he is going to be on a new team in 2027. When Mike Tomlin was with the Steelers, he was a big fan of Brandon Aiyuk. Poni thinks the Steelers should consider signing Aiyuk for very cheap if he gets cut. Mullsy does not think that this would be wise, and it would make a lot more sense if the Commanders signed Aiyuk given that he played in college with Jayden Daniels. ALL ACCESS w/ Aditi – Aditi thinks that the Steelers going after Baker would mean that they are completely giving up on Drew Allar and Will Howard. She also says that Baker will command a ton of money from another team. Aditi does not think that Brandon Aiyuk will be available for next to nothing, but if he were, she thinks the Steelers should go after him. Donny Football Debrief – Ben Roethlisberger predicted that the Steelers will go 12-5 on his Podcast yesterday.

Ben Roethlisberger said on his podcast that he thinks Mike McCarthy might be ramping things up at practice too early. Poni says that new coaches have burnt out Steelers teams before, and that Tomlin did this as well in his first year. Most coaches think of this time of year as a time to get the mental reps down, as opposed to ramping up physically. The Seahawks are on Hard Knocks this summer after they won the Super Bowl last season for some reason. The Patriots will be on the offseason Hard Knocks in 2027. Mason McCormick will move from right guard to left guard this season. People say that left guard is more important than right guard, should the Steelers trust McCormick to play the position? Mike says that if Baker Mayfield becomes available next offseason, the Steelers should sprint to his agent’s office and start working out a contract immediately. The Dodgers scored TEN times to blow the game wide open and would win it, 12-3. For 6 innings, it was competitive, in front of a big Tuesday crowd in Pittsburgh. Is Kelly just another version of Derek Shelton or is there something hidden in there? Marcell Ozuna failed another challenge last night and he was thrown out on a play that nearly every other player in baseball history would have run out for a base hit. 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff and Chris recapped the golf outing they played in today, with Jeff being the squad’s best hitter. Jeff told the guys about how Konnor Griffin looked in his field work today as he rehabs his injury. Jeff believes we are still a few weeks away from seeing Griffin back in the lineup. Could he be the team’s DH in a pinch if he can’t play the field? Jared Jones is starting tonight, but is it a guarantee that we see Carmen Mlodzinski as the second part of the piggyback? How much longer are the Pirates going to give Marcell Ozuna to turn his season around? The guys wondered if Isaac Mattson is going to come back up due to good numbers following his recent demotion. Jeff said the team is going through ABS training to become better on the challenge portion of the game. We had some fun with the rough night for Ozuna.
