ESPN NFL reporter Brooke Pryor joined the show. Brooke gave her takeaways from the second set of OTA sessions that began today, including a near highlight from Minkah Fitzpatrick. How did Cole Holcomb look, who is coming back from a major injury? Brooke said they have a good mix to change things up defensively because there are so many different types of athletes. Brooke gave her idea of how things could shake out in the Steelers backfield. Who does Kaleb Johnson remind her of? Brooke thinks the interest for Gabe Davis is a lot more real than trading for another tight end. Brooke brought up the chemistry that Mason Rudolph has built with the players this offseason.

Pirates broadcaster Greg Brown joined the show. Greg spoke his mind about the bad call in San Diego the other night in the Henry Davis at bat, which was the Pirates last real shot to win the game. Brownie said it’s a forgone conclusion that the technology will be changed by Opening Day 2026. Sal gave us the skinny on Gabe Davis after he spent the best part of his career in Buffalo. Sal brought up the great point that many Bills fans didn’t want him after he came available lately. Did his big-game performances earn him any points? Sal said there are too many drops in his game. Sal said Davis is a ‘tireless worker,’ but there are just too many inconsistencies with his game. Sal told us Davis was used for a lot of downfield passing and not really anything underneath. According to Sal, Davis is a ‘willing blocker’ that would be useful in the run game. Sal noted that it is important to remember Davis got released by the Jags with a failed physical diagnosis, which has several teams worried about his health.

We think it really depends on where you split the lines of a generation. Barry Bonds would have a pretty healthy claim. Jeff witnessed Scottie Scheffler win the Memorial Tournament in Ohio this weekend – his third victory in the month. Is anybody close to his level right now? Chris asked Jeff if this is the most dominant run we’ve seen since Tiger Woods. Jeff isn’t sure if he will pick Scheffler to win the US Open due to some other talented names in the field.
