Shouting Your Identity
31/08/2019 Duración: 24minDo you set your clock 5 minutes fast so you'll always be 5 minutes early? Then do you remind yourself that your clocks are 5 minutes ahead so you've still got time? Do you end up being late anyway? This is what it's like to be self-aware of your beliefs, and I've been doing it for years. Today, I attended a workshop with an exercise that helped me go from understanding what my core beliefs are, to realizing them. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/intros/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/intros/support

EP11: You Are 2 Separate People
11/01/2019 Duración: 35minMany people, myself included, have experienced themselves feeling in a rut. Check it out: YOU... have experienced YOURSELF.... in a rut. Here's an easier one: I AM happy.... or I am EXPERIENCING happiness? I AM thinking.... or I am EXPERIENCING thoughts? For the most part, the "internal self" and the "external self" are two separate entities. When the Selves overlap and are in bliss, or in flow, it is because who we believe we are is currently aligning perfectly with what we say and do. Whenever we feel guilt, cognitive dissonance, or anxiety, it is because the narrative of our true identity (the internal self) is observing the reality of the human embodiment (the external self) and there is a disconnect between the two. Any form of discontent can be traced back to this experience of incongruence between beliefs and actions. In this solo round, I explain a little deeper about our perception of guilt, anxiety, and what they have to do with cognitive dissonance. Thanks for l

Ep10: Make Your Goals Flow with Zach Williams
03/01/2019 Duración: 01h01minHappy New Year, it's 2019 and time to start a fresh for many people, letting go of the past, abandoning half baked ideas or relationships, and looking forward to something hopefully bigger and better in the next 365 days. Goal setting is this elusive thing that most people place importance on only once or twice a year. Most people jump on the bandwagon for New Years until shit starts hitting the fan. Then the excuses and old habits start to come up. I've definitely been a victim of this mentality. But when we have the mindset of living our life like a social media timeline and not a photo album, we can start to shift the perspective. We can start to use our distractions as a reminder to refocus. We can lean into our current projects and minimize the feeling of defeat when something slows down toward the finish line. Lots of great perspective in this episode. Here are some notes I took: If you have inclinations of moving toward a goal, identify the decisions you'll have to make Breaking down bigger goals i

EP8: Bring Your Strength to the Opportunity with Bryce Riggs
12/12/2018 Duración: 01h46s* bryceriggs59@gmail.com * Twitter: riggs_bryce * Being able to relate to lots of people can find many opportunities later on. * Slowing down in the conversation and share experiences. * Being honest and share that you know specific things about them if you don't know their name, makes it easier to overcome the awkwardness. You really do care about them, but can't place a face to a name. * Everyone feels awkward if you don't remember each other's names, it's going to be resolved if you get it out of the way. * Get the name out of the way before getting too far in, otherwise it seems rude to ask at the end of the conversation. Plus, you have the opportunity to use their name if you get it in the beginning. * Look for anyone around whose name you DO know to introduce the unknown named person to. It is the responsibility of the friend to then ask the name of the unknown. * If you want an easy cop out to remind someone of your name, tell a story when you were talking to yourself and mention your name out loud

EP5: How Confidence Comes From Humor
04/12/2018 Duración: 28minI'm looking to discuss topics you want to hear about! Someone mentioned how to gain confidence and how to build confidence into others. Personally, I think the most confident people view the world with amusement, or humor. Humor and comedy are two different things, but are often mistaken as the same. By interrupting our pattern of fear and uncertainty with amusement, it's much easier to try new things. The more we can train ourselves to develop confidence through a humorous worldview instead of from the approval of others, we will live a much happier and more adventurous lives. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/intros/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/intros/support

EP1: Dream Interpretations (solo round)
30/11/2018 Duración: 10minI started this new thing in the morning where as SOON as I shut my alarm off, I turn on Facebook live and talk for 90 seconds about what's on my mind. It's probably the most vulnerable state I can be in. Sometimes I remember my dreams and can talk about them, but today, I didn't remember anything. Went a little deeper into the meanings of that here on the podcast today. I was also checking out my new mic that I got on Cyber Monday! Wanted to reward myself for not doing anything on Black Friday other than hosting a webinar on how to talk to strangers... maybe I should've hosted it on Grey Thursday (Thanksgiving or whatever) to prepare people for the incivility of the holiday the day after. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/intros/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/intros/support
