I found coach Casey after being tagged in a couple of his posts about the importance of speed and technical and tactical abilities of a football athlete. I loved the breakdown of these posts and thought it would be an awesome opportunity to bring an actual sports coach onto the podcast to talk about how he thinks and goes about training. Today we talked about the speed advantage, why it’s important for your players to enjoy practice and how he goes about breaking down the technical aspects of the game.

I found Jordan through a power point that was sent to me on a NSCA conference talk he gave on “Sports Movement through the eyes of an athlete” which does an amazing job of breaking down the sport and questioning if what a lot of traditional weight room programs is doing are correct.  Today we tried to dive deep into the world of the constraints led approach, small sided games and how to bridge the gap between the weight room and what is actually going on, on the field.
