Continuing on his thoughts from yesterday... Is it worth it to keep Paul Skenes if you are the Pittsburgh Pirates? It’s all about team control, and it seems like he won’t resign. One caller said it feels like this should be the Konnor Griffin era.

Konnor Griffin will start his rehab assignment on Wednesday. Poni believes even at 20 years old and less than 100 games, he’s overall one of the Pirates best players. He’s a .270 hitter despite the 2 week slump after being promoted.

Poni doesn’t think Brendan Sorsby should be punished further by not playing in the NFL. But it is a good thing for the Steelers right now, because of the QB room behind Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph with Drew Allar and Will Howard. Also it’s good for him because he can truly prove that he’s changed. It buys teams like the Steelers more time.

A hypothetical trade to send Paul Skenes to the New York Yankees has floated around the internet. Poni gives his thoughts on the possibilities and who would the Pirates receive. He then reaches out to the phone lines and early on, there seemed to be an agreement to send Skenes out to build around Konnor Griffin.
