The Penguins have earned 5 of 6 points since the return from the Olympics and without Sidney Crosby in the lineup. The trade deadline is upon us as NHL teams gear up for Friday to make the final big moves to their roster. The Pens will get Sid back in about a month, but should they add and should it be a notable piece? Poni made the push for Vincent Trocheck, the local product, that should be available on a bad Rangers team. Chris wasn’t going for it and got made when Poni kept pointing out that Trocheck is ‘from here.’ Are the Penguins too far ahead on their timeline to make this big of a move? Trocheck was great in the game on Saturday – a come-from-behind effort from the Rangers over the Penguins. Can he turn this team into a Stanley Cup contender?

Following Saturday’s shootout loss, Geno shared with the media that he will not be going over contract stuff with Kyle Dubas and the Penguins until the offseason. What should happen? Is it as easy as a 2-year deal for the Penguins legend? It’s hard to deny what Malkin has done this season after we thought this would be the swansong. A slew of topics from today’s show. Makai Lemon reportedly ‘bombed’ his interviews at the combine. Is he going to fall in the draft and/or be there for the Steelers at 21? Should the Steelers draft him?

Konnor Griffin is making the Pirates decision difficult on what to do with him for opening day. Mullsy thinks that Griffin is making it clear that he is the best option to be the opening day shortstop. Griffin’s current slugging percentage in the Spring is on par with the best of Barry Bonds’ career. Mullsy thinks that the Pirates went on a spending spree (at least for their standards) due to pressure from Rob Manfred. Callers chime in on the pending Konnor Griffin situation. The Steelers met with some mid-round projected QBs at the combine, including Penn State QB Drew Allar. Would you rather the Steelers draft Drew Allar, or re-sign Aaron Rodgers? Mullsy says that he would rather the Steelers draft Drew Allar than any of the other feasible options at QB in the draft. He also mentions Taylen Green as a guy he wouldn’t mind seeing the Steelers draft. Navy RB/WR Eli Heidenreich joined the show. Eli said that he enjoyed the entire combine experience, and he was pleased with his performance in Indianapolis. He also said that he was surprised with how many moving parts go into the combine, such as medical examinations and interviews. Eli said that a bunch of guys were curious about what his days were like at Navy, and how they differ from other universities. Offensive Lineman Gennings Dunker put the combine on notice with both his performance and his ginger mullet. Future Steeler?

One of the potential free agent signings may have his price coming down, which should have the Steelers interested. That player is Malik Willis. The QB was first rumored to be looking at $40M/year on the open market, but the latest from ESPN projected Willis at more of a 20-25 million dollar per year player, which changes the calculus a bit. That number would have him as the 20th highest-paid QB in football. Would you do that deal? Would you pay Malik Willlis $25M/year? NHL writer Sean Gentille from The Athletic joined the show. Fair Game with Nick Farabaugh. Nick says he cannot confirm how many toilets are in the Steelers locker room, but it is definitely far less than how many their should be. Nick also says that he does not think the Steelers are seriously considering Ty Simpson at 21.

Konnor Griffin is on the cover of ESPN today. He went 0-2 today, but he is still having a good Spring Training. Donny Football makes his return from Penn State as he was our representative for their career fair. He talks about meeting people at PSU and being the face of the Fan talking to students. How many students knew Limits? Donny answers a few questions about Konnor Griffin.

Mark Kaboly joins the show for the next hour. Kaboly says that it makes a lot of sense that Ty Simpson liked Mike McCarthy, given McCarthy's personality. He also says that he does not think that the Steelers are going to take a QB in round 1. An anonymous benefactor dropped off a supply drop of burgers and wings, and it has the guys all out of sorts. Anyways, Mark thinks that the Steelers will go wide receiver in round one. The release of the NFLPA report cards already has the Steelers making changes. The Steelers have changed up their type of grass at Acrisure Stadium after all of the complaints from last season. Mark does not think there is any chance that the Steelers trade DK Metcalf.

Ty Simpson raved about Mike McCarthy in his press conference at the combine. Mullsy thinks that this amount of praise is notable, and even unnatural.
