ALL ACCESS w/ Aditi – Aditi said Brian Angelichio is ‘all ball’ and raved about the abundance of experience he has working with different offenses. Aditi isn’t sold Aaron Rodgers will be back next season, not only in Pittsburgh, but in the league.

Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said any time you have an offensive coach connected to Kevin O’Connell, it’s not a bad thing. He called the Brian Angelichio hiring ‘encouraging’ even though the plays will be called by Mike McCarthy. Speaking of the Vikings, with the change at GM, Mike doesn’t think we can rule out Aaron Rodgers finally ending up in Minnesota. Mike just cannot see Rodgers being done in the NFL with his final throw being a pick six. Mike was interrupted mid-interview by Justin Jefferson. Mike talked about the way Rodgers has to change his game and adapt at this point in his career.

One of our own is an expert on the Steelers new OC. Dorin moved to TE at Pitt, under the watch of Brian Angelichio, and thrived to an All-American level. It looks like, based on personal bios, Angelichio doesn’t have a family and is married to football. The guys also got into the hiring of Joe Whitt Jr., who has been working in the NFL since his late 20’s.

Former Penguin Tyler Kennedy joined the show. The guys had TK rank the 3 top goalies in the Penguins organization and he had Stuart Skinner at 1, even after a bad game last night. TK said Sergei Murashov still has some growing up to do to pass up either of the guys on the main roster. Tyler isn’t ready to call Ben Kindel a superstar, but he really likes the returns from the rookie and thinks he will be a very solid 2nd line center. The guys continued to marvel over what Egor Chinakov has done in Pittsburgh. How should the Penguins approach the trade deadline?

The early rumblings are that the Steelers never offered Tolzien the job and felt like he was too inexperienced. There is now scuttlebutt that Brian Angelichio is the new frontrunner to be the team’s OC – a former Pitt TE coach. Another name on the Will Howard hype train is Bruce Arians. Why does the former Steelers OC and Super Bowl winning head coach like him? The guys noted that Arians didn’t leave the Steelers on good terms so has no real reason to say their 6th round pick will be a difference maker. There is reason for Ben Roethlisberger and Mike McCarthy to like Howard, but why are the others? Are people really fighting this urge for the Steelers to be great so they are using Howard as that pawn? The guys brought up the number of great QBs Arians has seen in his career to back up his words. Where did Will Howard grade last year going into the draft?

Donny was told that the Steelers are definitely bringing Aaron Rodgers back. Poni says that there are 27 QBs that he would rather have for next year than Aaron Rodgers.
