The fever of Jeremiah's grief has broken and he sounds like a news reporter as he describes the terrible conditions in Jerusalem. Now he tries to cope with anger against those who hurt his people.

Even in his deep sorrow, Jeremiah praises God for His faithfulness and mercy. His sorrow will not last forever, and neither will ours.

Jeremiah felt that God had abandoned him, that He wasn't listening to his cry for help. Yet Jeremiah continued to believe and trust in the Lord.

Do we have anything to lament as a nation? Yes! The same God who judged Israel will not spare America. We must cry out for His mercy even as Jeremiah and the other survivors did.

Jeremiah asked if anyone's sorrow was greater than his. We feel our own pain very intensely, but not so much others' pain. We discuss how to offer real comfort to those who mourn.

Jeremiah expressed his sorrow at Jerusalem's destruction in a poem of lament. God teaches us a lot about how to handle our grief in this often-overlooked book of the Bible.

A Christian worldview is seeing things through God's lens. That way everything comes into clear focus for us.

Jesus told another of His little stories (parables) to show how we must keep on praying and not give up when the answer is slow in coming.

Someone counted all of God's promises in the Bible and came up with 3,573! Each and every one of those is Yes in Christ. That's why we sya Amen!

God loves us too much to leave us the way He finds us. He will finish what He starts in our lives!

On this Father's Day, let's consider our Heavenly Father and how we treat Him. God shares His frustration with us in today's passage. Yet He also longs to hod us in His arms.
