Jesus not only paid for our sins with His blood, He also represents us before the bar of God's justice. He hasn't lost a case yet!

God is light, and His light shines into our lives. Will we let Him probe the dark corners of our lives and repent of the sins He reveals? Or will we hide from the light because we love the darkness?

The first sermon in a series on 1 John. The apostle uses simple but powerful metaphors to help us understand who God is. The first metaphor is God is life. He is the source of all life, and offers us eternal life through His Son.

The word worship comes from the word worth. Jesus Christ is worth our worship. He is worthy, as the citizens of heaven proclaimed.

What can separate us from Christ and His love? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!

Paul said that where sin abounds grace abounds even more. Does it follow, then, that we should sin more so that we receive more grace? Paul replied NO!!!!!!! We died to sin and rose to new life in Christ, and a sinful lifestyle isn't befitting a Christian.

Too often we put off until tomorrow (or later) what we should do today. Sadly, tomorrow never comes sometimes. Worse, we miss God's window of opportunity. Ananias asked Saul, "Why do you wait?" As yourself that question every day!

The Philippians jailer asked the most important question any of us can ask: "What must I do to be saved?" The answer is not doing something but believing in someone- the Lord Jesus Christ!

When Jesus announced to His disciples that one of them would betray Him, each of them asked "Lord, is it I?" They knew deep within that all of them were capable of this worst kind of treason. And so are we. Unless we yield to the Holy Spirit and put our flesh in the back seat, we are capable of anything. Praise God that He doesn't leave us to muddle around!

Jesus asked His disciples a couple of questions: Who do the people say the Son of Man is? and Who do you say that I am? Peter aced the exam: "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

After Isaiah saw the Lord in the Temple, he heard the Lord ask "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" God calls to all of us. How will you answer?

The answer to Cain's question "Am I my brother's keeper?" is not as easy as we might think. We consider the question and its answer in today/s sermon.

When Adam and Eve sinned they hid from God. He called to them, "Where are you?" He asked not because He didn't know where they were, but to give them space to confess. This question is the beginning of God's plan to redeem humanity.

The very first question in the Bible comes from the Devil, speaking through the serpent. "Did God REALLY say you can't eat from any tree in the garden?" Through confusion and lies he tempted Eve and then Adam to break the one law God gave them.

Immediately after the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus' followers Peter preached the Gospel for the first time.

The conspiracy to kill Jesus succeeded. But with His resurrection a new and even greater problem emerged for the conspirators. They had to cover up this news, and enlisted the help of the guards who were stationed at the tomb. This conspiracy failed, however, and the news that Jesus is alive couldn't be suppressed.

Jesus saved the day when He turned water into wine. This shows His kindness and concern for our needs and also was a sign to prove who He is.

When Peter asked Jesus about His plans for John, Jesus answered "None of your business." We must not compare ourselves to other Christians, but always keep our eyes on Jesus and follow Him.

When Jesus appeared to His disciples, they didn't know if He was really alive or if he was a ghost, a departed spirit. He invited them to touch His wounds, and then He asked for something to eat. It was the most natural thing in the world for Jesus to eat with His disciples!

Jesus walked alongside two disciples who didn't recognize Him. He promises to be with us always, but do we always know and believe He's with us?
