Michael Donehue - Never Underestimate the power of a Conversation
06/11/2023 Duración: 01h05minBack in 2016 Michael and I connected via social media as I was preparing to run the NYC Marathon and competing for a spot in a national television spot for Foot locker second chances initiative. Michael is a substance abuse coach, counselor and speaker from Australia. He experienced some serious bouts of depression, anxiety and drinking excessively as a young lad growing up and decided to change his life with the love and support of his family and mates. That experience led to taking a risk and going to work part time for a company that educated people on substance abuse, mental illness and overcoming challenges in every day life. That part time risk turned into his passion and allowed him to travel the world working, meeting and having conversations with many differently people. One of his favorite lines is "never underestimate the power of having a conversation" He believes you can learn a lot about others and yourself if you are truly listening and engaged in 'being' present with people

Josh Braun - Dont Bark back at Barking dogs
06/11/2023 Duración: 56minI was introduced to Josh by his lovely wife Jenna many years ago after a chance encounter at a local juice spot. My wife Chelsea and I were invited to their home and spent some time getting to know each other over delicious food and conversation. Josh by trade is a business man who has worn many hats from teacher, tech genius, salesperson and the list goes on ad infinitum. Josh and I randomly run into each other and caught up over the years regarding ironman training, random ideas for business and FROPRO related questions and recently, Chelsea showed me his TIK TOK account where he discusses business, tips, connecting and coaching on a regular basis. "Why don't you have him on the show?" and that's how it happened.Josh is a great coach mentor and has had years of experience in sales. He has amazing examples, real life stories in which communicating with people and finding out what they want and where they are coming from is the most important. In a rare flip of the script he started asking

Andrew & Syd - Fit Food Express: From part time to owning the whole building
30/10/2023 Duración: 44minOne of my favorite couples and stories straight out of Delray Beach. Fit Food Express is nestled in Delray Beach and run by a stellar couple Andrew Arnold and Syd Breiding. They are an incredible couple that met while both working as employees at Fit Foods and became even closer as they lasted through the challenges. The challenges of changing locations, the sale from original owner, multiple people working in and outside the business and the trials and tribulations of being in the highly scrutinized food and meal prep business.Andrew moved down here to get his life in order and began working part time as a chef and operations employee for fit foods. He was dedicated to making delicious food, delivering quality customer service and maintaining his sobriety. Through the years employees came and went and Syd entered the picture. What started as a co working experience turned into a great friendship and closeness that eventually led to them going on a date and cementing their relationship. When the original owne

Alex hosted a small friendly poker game at his house in Delray. One of my favorite things about living in such a great community in South Florida is you get to see people grow and expand their network and follow their dreams. Alex has a passion for helping people and believes that if a client seeks you out you should give everything to that client: full transparency, 100% effort and consistency because that client can become a raving fan and possible a lifetime connection. Alex started his real estate business while working another job and within a few years had built a remarkable and prestigious organization of like minded real estate professionals now known as the Platt Group. He and his wife are a great team that balance all sides of the business and believe in adding value and always taking the high road. 05/10/2023 Duración: 43minI met Sean years ago when I was getting my life together. He was a mutual friend of my wife and brother in law. I kind of knew what he did but wasn't entirely sure. We reconnected when Chelsea and I were looking to buy our first home and he lived in the neighborhood. He made the experience pretty easy and was always available for questions or concerns. After we moved in and were neighbors did we become closer and share similar interest in fitness, triathlons and run into each other as he was walking around the neighborhood with his kids. Sean is a true entrepreneur and has a passion for business and helping people achieve what they most want out of life. A Covid Creation turned Pizza Empire: The rise of How ya Doughn's creator Garret Goodman
05/09/2023 Duración: 48minThere are many restaurant establishments in the South Florida area and one that recently opened as a result of the covid pandemic was How Ya Doughn. A pizza establishment created in the house of family man Garrett Goodman in central boca. While most of the world shut down, Garretts former business and team went to working remotely. With being at home so much and a true foodie, Garrett began making his own style of pizza in a pizza oven he had seen his friend have on the balcony of his apartment. As with any creation there were multiple trials and testings before he was satisfied with the end product. Originally, he made pizzas for his wife and a few neighbors, but the buzz grew about the insane taste and flavor profiles. After some time of people asking about it they decided to make more to sell to the locals as most restaurants were closed and it was a fun way to pass the time and enjoy being home even more. What started as a couple pizzas every hour turned into 150-200 pizzas a week. The journey of How Ya

Javier Martos: Assigning Value to Living and breathing your best possible Life
05/09/2023 Duración: 54minEarlier this year I had the privilege of visiting El Portal Miami and the BREATHTRIBE crew headed up by Javier and his wife. The location was their home, studio and breath work workshop. They were incredibly hospitable and we clicked instantly over fitness, health/wellness/cold exposure and more. I was really off my breath work routine since the COVID shut down as life got busy again. I spent the day working on my breath work with the others in the workshop and focused on being present and open to the challenging stillness and lack of movement. It was most triumphantly transformational and got me back into the daily morning breath work that accompanies my morning routine of prayer, journaling, meditation and movement. It has been several months and Javi and I remained in touch and was so grateful to have him come by and see FROPRO HQ. He is a breath work instructor, jiu jitsu competitor, father, husband and community health specialist. His methods and teachings have helped many people across the country. If y

Sarah Pesso: Taking Risks, Investing in yourself & Living the dream
21/08/2023 Duración: 50minI met Sarah several years ago down in Florida through some mutual friends. Little did I know she was a hometown hero from Weschester County New York and that we grew up right near each other. If you know Sarah she was easy to talk to and engaging in conversation which made me feel like I had known her for years. Over the years we stayed in touch and what transpired was one of inspiration. She worked in retail for years and stayed with different jobs until it became too much and then sought other employment. In 2016 she took a "chunk" of money and invested in her growth as a business person and eventually a business owner. She surrounded herself with high network high level people and never looked back. As a result of being in the same room, she connected networked and started working with one of her mentors. She immediately took off organizing and facilitating his schedule and time so effectively it opened up many more doors to where she could now work from anywhere on the planet. This led to creat

14/08/2023 Duración: 36minI met Doc years ago at a lululemon event. We had crossed paths thanks to mutual friends and fro the jump was immediately inspired by his warmth and kindness. I attended his charity event and watched him interact with professional athletes, families and make sure to say hello to everyone that came out to support what he was doing. I couldn't believe his energy and made it a point to get to know him better. Dr. Rodman is one of only a few Board Certified Sports Chiropractors that is also a Registered Nurse. Kelly Siegel - Harder Than Life: Overcoming poverty, addiction and violence
14/08/2023 Duración: 58minI had the pleasure of meeting Kelly at a speaking event earlier this year that our Mutual friend and podcast guest Adam Jablin created. Kelly and I connected at the Hero Project and got to chatting about sobriety, business, life, relationships, success/failure and many other topics. We stayed in touch since and have had some amazing conversations that we upbeat, positive and very helpful to me. He sent me his book and what a powerful message of overcoming tragedy and turning it into triumph. A consummate professional, business owner, father, fitness junkie and more Kelly has overcome a challenging childhood that would have killed most people.Surrounded by poverty, physical and emotional abuse, violence and more he took charge of his life and wouldn't be stopped. All of that intensity nearly ruined everything until 4.5 years ago when he put down the bottle, the drugs and started over. He never hit a typical rock bottom but on NYE he was done with the lifestyle and hasn't looked back. I was fortunate

Melanie Haraldson: Mental health, overcoming tragedy, processing grief and creating an amazing life
02/08/2023 Duración: 46minI met Melanie years ago at the grand opening of Raw Juce where she was the Head Nutrionist and Manager of the Boca location. She's a Canadian Soccer superstar and came to Boca through Lynn university and ended up staying here to proceed with health and wellness. I had heard of her through friends in the yoga community. We stayed in touch and connected over the years through her support of the Sober community. Her life changed when her father passed as a result of suicide and propelled her into serving and facilitating yoga in treatment centers, mental health locations and giving back to those grieving and struggling. While doing so, she met her amazing husband and began a family. She came to a Crossroads as her family started growing because she wanted to be there for her children but also serve the community. She takes it one day at a time and realized she couldn't do it all. It took a lot of work and conversation to give herself the permission to shift her priorities. She was able to find a remot

Samantha Card - The Athlete Advantage: Success Beyond Game Day
17/07/2023 Duración: 38minI met Sam back in 2020 at the HPLT summit in Austin Texas. A group of entrepreneurs together for a weekend of fitness, collaboration and time with several successful people in the health and wellness space. I immediately hit it off with her because of her amazing energy and approachability. She is a former collegiate athlete and has worked with countless others who have experienced life after sports and living a new life. She is all about that transition mindset, making the change and connecting the dots for others as she did for herself. Her corporate background and success in Fortune100 companies was great but not fulfilling in the way she wanted her life to be. Hannah Blatt - Professional Pickleball, Priorities & A Champion Mindset
05/07/2023 Duración: 51minI met Hannah in early 2022 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center while learning how to play Pickelball. Considering its one of the fastest growing methods of working out in the world you get to see some familiar faces if you keep showing up. Like any other sport you can always tell when someone is exceptional and performs at a higher level than most. I had the chance of watching Hannah plat some games and absolutely dominate her opponents all while carrying herself with intensity, grace, poise and sportsmanship. I would see her from time to time and chat it up off the court and she was always so kind. We spoke about social media and the use of it for positive things and the day to day. We had conversations about NOT listening to other people that were trying to tear her down and or didn't understand what she was trying to do.Fast forward to several months later and she was signed by a professional Pickleball league in Canada, where she is from and life exploded in the best possible way. Endorsements, att

Abbey Hilton - Opening up about mental illness and walking through the most challenging time in her life
24/06/2023 Duración: 49minAbbey and I met at the opening of Slash Fitness in Delray beach back in 2011. We were the new trainers and joining a team that proved to be one of the most awesomely assembled fitness professionals in my opinion. After years of working together we both went out separate ways and continued our journeys in the health and wellness space. During that time we didn't speak as much as relationships can change over the years but would check in here and there. I consider her a little sister and she has always been so helpful during my rough times and drove me around if I needed somewhere to be that when she was going through some hardship it was tough to watch. Abbey let me in over the last couple of years here and there regarding her challenges. Recently, there was a definite turn in one of our conversations where it felt lighter and more relaxed. When we were catching up I asked her to come on the show and talk about her coaching business, owning a local gym and go over what makes her successful. What we ended

Dan Davidowitz - CFA at Polen Capital. The Importance of Education, Mentorship & a little bit of luck
21/06/2023 Duración: 48minI met Dan several years ago at a workout and probably one of the nicest guys around. I knew he was involved in the opening of a local West Boca gym and that was about it. One of the best parts about being local is having people drop by and Dan would periodically drop in to pick up his order and just shoot the shit. Dan has 24 years of experience in the financial world and it led him down to south Florida in 2005 when he joined up with Polen Capital. He and his team deliver active equity and high yield strategies to a wide range of clients. They build high-conviction portfolios that we are competitively advantaged. Per Dan “Our mission is to preserve and grow client assets to protect their present and enable their future.” When we began growing and expanding FROPRO we put together an investment deck and ran it by several people. Dan gave it a look and he called us the next day to ask us several questions. He wanted to be a part of the team and help us continue our goal of expansion and snack domination. His

Will Hyde - Starting over, haircare and traveling the world.
15/06/2023 Duración: 42minI met Willy when I was getting sober. He was in a solid crew of guys that had been down the same road as I was on. They had blown up their lives and were in the process of putting everything back together. Will was a tremendous support for me and easy to talk to about what I was going through. As the years progressed he had the idea of going back to school and getting involved in the beauty and haircare world. A huge business and something he was worried about doing for the fear of what everyone would say. He was worried about what it looked like even though he had a passion and drive to get involved. He set out and went back to school after working retail for most of his life and learned the craft. He firmly believes that "education is power" and you can advance in whatever you want to do as long as you apply yourself and do the hard work. With the completion of his degree, a wife and dream to open his own salon he moved back up north and set out to follow his dream. Will currently resides in Conne

Justin Weidenfeld - Turning a sudden loss into a mission to help others
06/06/2023 Duración: 33minI met Justin when he was 13 years old. I was his off season baseball coach and trainer and became very close with his family. My wife Chelsea babysat his younger brother, his dad was a mentor to me as I was getting my life together and his mom brought me to one of my first Crossfit classes. Justin and I both lost our fathers at an extremely young age, mine due to a relatively long battle with cancer and Justins dad passed suddenly from a heart attack in his sleep. Either way you can never be prepared when something like that happens as it rocks the foundation of who you are and how you operate. I was grateful Justin came on the show and shared how that very moment changed the course of his life and how he approached the processing of grief and working with other to ease the pain.He goes by using the self created MIT method which is most important tasks. These tasks are different for everyone but allow you to identify and set yourself up for success. Watching Justin explain all this was surreal to me because

Matthew Savarick - Business and Lifestyle Coaching; Finding your spikey point of view
01/06/2023 Duración: 01h04minI had the pleasure of sitting down with Matt after long overdue multiple mutual connections trying to connect us. I met Matts mom beforehand at a dance competition for charity and she had mentioned we would get along and then came to find out my wife Chelsea had grown up with Matt so everything aligned and we made it happen. My first impression after meeting Matt was positive because his energy in contagious. He has a strong and vibrant personality that shines through as he walks into the room. Matt found success early on in his life in the business world and found himself in a position to create his own business. His business centered around helping others tap into their own potential, find their "spikey" point of view combined with his own knowledge of neuroscience and personal journey through pain and sacrifice. His personal journey of overcoming challenge goes all the way back to young adulthood. He experienced an embarrassing and life changing moment in grade school that I believe most people w
