How to liquidate a losing product | E.p. #158
20/07/2018 Duración: 10minHow to liquidate a losing product We currently have a product on our Amazon store that we are looking to liquidate. What would you advise would be the best way to do that? Alysha Hello Alysha, Liquidating a product is never fun, not only because we know there will a monetary loss, but because that money could have been growing with a winning product. And, there is also a bit of ego being hurt haha Here are a couple things I do when that happens. First thing I do is create a looser account, with Amazon's permission under the wife's name or sister, or cousin, etc Recall all the product to your home or to a 3rd party company so they can remove 1 FNSKY and add the new one. Then send all the product to this "loser" account where they can be for another 6 months before having big storage fees. Before the 6 months are up, you need to get rid of the product and to do that my best suggestion is on Facebook groups for Amazon sellers. Go on a big FB group and ask who is interested in a product you are liquidati

The risks or rewards of selling electronics on Amazon
19/07/2018 Duración: 11minI recently found your podcast on Spotify so please excuse me if this has been addressed already, I have a lot of catching up to do! I live in Australia and am researching a home electrical appliance to be sold through Amazon Australia FBA. I believe there is a high demand and little competition particularly from sellers native to Australia. Before I do the hard numbers I would like to know your thoughts on whether an electrical product is too ambitious for a new seller to take on ie. Is the risk of potential electrical defects worth the monetary risk with returns and refunds? To clarify, the product would be sourced from China. Can you advise on any other risks or rewards you may be aware of when importing such a product? Have you done so yourself? Would love to hear from you. Thank you for what you do. I really enjoy listening to your podcast. Please feel free to air this if you wish. RegardsCarly Thank you so much for the question CarlyLet's talk about the good, the bad, and things to know

16/07/2018 Duración: 15minLow competition and high sales product to private label Looking for the right product to private label "Hi quin I'm from Jacksonville, Florida. I'm 55 yrs old, 4.5 year to retirement from Anheuser Busch. I have a drop shipping business with printful.com my website: gorillawarwear.us.com. I started this business to some of the working of e-commerce like ad on Facebook, ad words, social media. I have almost 100 designs and I have sold 20 shirts and 6 of those was to myself. I started in February. Now, Started listening to many podcasts. I got a subscription to Jungle Scout took 15000 dollars from 401k. I wanted to take away any reason I have to fail. Remove all obstacles. I noticed everyone getting started was looking in the 3000 A month profit model. I figured if I look in 5000 to 7000 model, I would either fail big or win big. But really if I go with the 3000 per month model I will have enough cash for PPC , pictures, and inventory for 2 months. Now I'm just looking for the right product to PL. Thanks for yo

In this case, Amazon manages the listing, the stock, and the fulfillment Wholesale - By allowing third-party sellers to sell their products online using Retail Arbitrage or Wholesale. This is when you see 10, 20 or even 100 sellers on the same listing (it’s called fighting for the Buy Box) The most common for major companies will be the second and third options. Selling on Amazon.com FBA from another country | E.p. #153
10/07/2018 Duración: 07minSelling on Amazon.com FBA from another country #154 I live in Canada and I sell in a few different countries with Amazon. They make it very easy to sell on their platform remotely. When I source my product from China, most of the times it will go directly from the manufacturer to Amazon FBA. The product is sourced and ordered from China, inspected before shipping and then with the help of a freight forwarder I ship directly to an Amazon warehouse in the USA or Japan, etc The only difference is that when you have product returns, Amazon will not cross the border with your return product. This means you have to either have a 3rd party repackage it and send back to Amazon or just let Amz destroy it I have 52 private label products in Amazon USA and only 12 in my own country. Not only that but the only time I ever saw my own products was when I received a sample from China (before even having my logo) It is important to know that different countries have different rules, regulations and even labeling laws. Working in Marketing or event management #150
03/07/2018 Duración: 07minI am interested in working in Marketing or event management eventually, but a combination of the two would be perfect. I know you have experience in the marketing sector so perhaps you could shed some light on perhaps pitfalls to avoid in these early stages in my career. Thanks Working in Marketing or event management Quin Amorim ✔️ sent the following messages at 5:32 PM Hey Rutendo, The most common thing I see happening is people giving up too soon! We get to sucked into the results shown on social media, by all the "self-made gurus" and we start to compare results. In reality, it takes some time to see results, and we must first build a solid foundation. As for the marketing and event management, I would try to get experience working for an agency for a year or so, and then create my own agency that would do exactly both. Event Management and marketing Working with an existing agency (a good one) will show you the out of the box thinking and the customer lead generation techniques that somet

Create 1 listing with variations or 2 listings? |E.p. #147
26/06/2018 Duración: 07minShould I create a new listing or set up a variation on my existing listing when I launch a new product with a different color? This is a question that came in from Bruce, on QASellingOnline. com Hey Bruce, Thanks for the question, and I'm super excited that you found a good product. As for the listing or Variations, there are different reasons to do them different If you create a variation under the same listing, you will have a huge benefit which is sharing reviews in all variations. So if the blue one has 20 reviews, the yellow one will also have 20 and so on. And this is a huge benefit if the reviews are good if they are bad, it works against you. You also will be able to create lightning deals for all variations for the cost of just one, while if you separate the listings, each will have a cost of $150 or $300 depending on the time of year. If you create a different listing you will be able to target different keywords, you will be able to have different categories (some products can

Selling on Amazon, eBay and Shopify | E.p. #146
25/06/2018 Duración: 20minThanks so much for all the Information you share. Even a bigger Thank you for not trying to sell me something. The best part of your show is when you talk about your family... Thanks I do have a question. I have been selling online with Amazon/eBay for 3 years now. I initially started selling a school item and other small items.. after the 4th qtr the first year, I gravitated towards Toys. I had a good supplier with a Mattel liquidation store in my area. The first 2 years, had doubled up on sales and had amazing 4th qtr with the toys. I used my website as just a landing page to show a business, and when suppliers wanted to see it. The page never was advertised or used for any sales. I have switched from Volusion to a Shopify store, to generate sales on the site. I have watched and read so much on selling online with eBay, Amazon and Shopify stores. Since the toys have dried up with competition and store closures, I have totality lost direction. I am so Lost and cannot seem to focus on a niche or product to

Merch by Amazon Marketing, Keywords and Advertising #143
14/06/2018 Duración: 08minMerch by Amazon Question from Jocelyn "Hi Quin, I’ve finally finished listening to your whole podcast. Thank you so much. I have a question about merch by Amazon. I just started selling on that platform ( I'm in SK Canada ) and I’m wondering how to get my shirts noticed? Since there isn’t a way to market them right on merch, is it the keywords that make the difference. Can you clarify what process I should be doing? Thank you" Merch by Amazon Hi Jocelyn, Thank you so much for being a listener and for sending in such a great question. I will answer it today and launch it this week on episode #143 Meanwhile, I can let you know that the keywords used when creating your listing will be one of the main factors for anyone to find your shirts. Also, the "brand name" you create for each shirt can be different and doesn't need to be of a real company. What I mean is, if you are designing a T-shirt for a real estate agent, for example, you can name your company "Real Estate Tee" or " Real Estate Agent X" The na

90% Discount Codes To My Warm Super Engaged Audience | E.p #142
13/06/2018 Duración: 10min90% Discount Codes To My Warm Super Engaged Audience Question from Bruce Hoffmann "Hi Quin, thanks for sharing all that you do. I am trying to set up the super URL and give a discount to my warm audience. I wanted to give 90% for the first 10 days to my super-engaged audience. but do I do it via a coupon (then do all of Amazon customers see this the coupon, which I don't want) or could I create a promotion using the social media promo code that way only people I give the code to can use it? i would still use the super url, then have them use the promo code created in the social media promo tab. also, there is not a way that I could find to discount more than 80%." To use the 90% discount code on Amazon, make sure to limit your amount of items that the person can buy, normally I limit each to 3 purchase. Then you need to generate the number of coupon codes you are looking for and send each one of your audience a unique coupon code with the 90% discount. Amazon will generate all those single-use coupons in

Not Enough Capital to Order Private Label | E.p #141

I have, let's say enough for 50 units when I need 300 to last the whole month. Should I just save up the money and then jump in or buy the 50 jump and then suffer the consequence or running out of stock?
