As for A-B testing, you should test changing one thing at a time on your listing, like the title or picture or bullets. By doing so you are measuring the conversion rate change to see if people buy more or less. if the percentage goes up its good, if it goes down, put it back the way it was, and test something else.

It is very simple to get your product to a top 10 list. 99% of the times you see a top 10 list, it was made as a marketing technique by one of those top 10 product owners. So, all you have to do is create a list with 9 other amazing products and then share it with the world. I know this is going to hurt a bit because you will be sharing your competitor's products, but in reality, they are already big, and more than likely you will be the one benefiting from it all. After the list is created all you have to do is make sure the whole world see it. And, to do that you will have to share it on Facebook, pages, groups and have someone create press releases. It depends on the product category and then I will look at what the competition is like. If it has a tiny BSR and the category is food I will stay away from it right off the bat But there is something that is super hard to measure. This is, how many people since the beginning have decided to pick and source that same product. There is a chance that 1000 people have sourced that same product and by the time yours arrives at FBA now you have 1000 more competitors. There is a tool out that that attempts to tell you how many people are looking at those products but I think it only works for their own platform. One thing you can do is stay away from top 100 of every category and focus only on subcategories.
