Doug and James are back with their cash game picks going into week 7! On another thin week, the guys were pleased to see there were once again playable options across multiple price tiers at quarterback. Whether you want to go down to Josh Allen or Kyler Murray in great matchups with the Dolphins and Giants, or pay up for Russell Wilson, this is looking like a week where QB is unlikely to kill you. At running back we have a few more question marks, primarily surrounding the health of Saquon Barkley. If he gets a clean bill of health, you could see him as a chalk play against a fast paced Arizona squad. After Barkley, the DFSR lineup optimizer is calling out some familiar names like Leonard Fournette and Chris Carson. The usage has been there for weeks, and both look like rock solid cash game options. Wide receiver is probably the most problematic position this week. With four teams on byes and a game in London early Sunday morning (EST), we get a slightly smaller player pool than previous weeks. Plus you add the Redskins-Dolphins game and that number grows even smaller. The guys take you through all of the games, the betting lines, over/unders, injury information and DFS plays for Sunday Week 6.  They spend a little more time on some of the more interesting games like the Texans and Chiefs which has a huge total and could end up a shootout. Kansas City is dealing with a number of injuries and have looked somewhat pedestrian the last couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Houston is coming off a monster week against the Falcons that saw Deshaun Watson and Will Fuller go completely off. Quarterback is looking like a healthy position this week, with great options across multiple price tiers. Whether you want to go cheaper with Kyler Murray in what should be a high-flying game with Atlanta, or want to pay up for more established options like Deshaun Watson or Lamar Jackson, you don't need to build your whole lineup around any given quarterback, leaving you flexibility elsewhere. Running back is where things get interesting. The guys agree that Dalvin Cook is probably the safest guy on the board, but then dive into a discussion about the relative safety of some cheaper options. With RBs like Fournette and Bell gobbling up usage at incredible rates in relatively bad offenses, does it make sense to pay down for them and apply your savings elsewhere? Week 5 cash games were mostly decided by a few key players, with individual performances making up for any mistakes you may have made along the way. Whether you were able to grab Deshaun Watson at QB, Christian McCaffrey at RB, Will Fuller or Michael Thomas at WR, or the Eagles D, you pretty much needed one of these huge performances in order to get there. While there wasn't much injury news this week, the guys do discuss the sickening hit taken by Mason Rudolph, and where we can project the Steelers going forward as they continue to march down their depth chart. Doug and James also discuss the changing of the guard at running back and wide receiver this year. The top names on the running back touches list are somewhat unfamiliar, and from week to week running backs are looking highly game script dependent. As the season progresses, we are seeing some interesting trends beginning to form at the various positions, and the guys wind up with lots to talk about. DFSR has something of a crisis at quarterback this week, pitting reliable now-expensive option Lamar Jackson against the cheap and unreliable Andy Dalton. The devil is in the match-up, of course, where Dalton gets the incredibly fast-paced Cardinals and Jackson has to contend with a revitalized Steelers defense. The big question is how much the savings matter, so let's look at some other positions. This was thankfully a relatively light week in terms of fantasy-related injuries, but there was still plenty to talk about. The guys discuss whether Lamar Jackson is moving into the Patrick Mahomes tier of quarterback safety, and whether we should be worried after Mahomes' worst game of the season. Generally, they conclude that quarterback is still looking like a fairly safe position across multiple price tiers, and that we should have plenty of decent options for cash games and big tournaments going forward. We're usually brimming with confidence when presenting our DFS cash game plays from week to week, but week four is shaping up to be a wild one. With relatively little injury news, big price tags on a lot of the breakout players, and one very thin position, we're going to have to pay pretty close attention to put together coherent lineups for week four. Quarterback is looking all but locked for us right now. Russell Wilson faces a Cardinals team that has allowed three of the top twenty DFS performances on FanDuel and DraftKings, and he's coming off of one of the best games of his career. If the prices don't wind up working out, the guys also wind up making cases for Patrick Mahomes, Matt Ryan, and Daniel Jones. Running back is where things get dicey. There is still plenty of value, but the player pool appears somewhat constricted because of the amount of uncertainty around certain teams.  They go position-by-position discussing cash plays in varying price tiers. The DFSR guys take to the podcast breaking down Week 1 for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a ton to look at from an exciting first week of NFL action.  They discuss their Lamar Jackson play and the surprise that he was so low-owned in cash games on both sites. Jackson, of course, crushed the souls of the Miami Dolphins and was the highest-scoring quarterback on both sites.
