  • Week 16 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    24/12/2020 Duración: 51min

It's a strange week, with a lot of unknowns heading into the holiday weekend. We're hoping that teams and reporters are as sharp with reporting as usual, but that's certainly not clear at this point. For starters, a lot of viable DFS offenses are going up against tough defenses, and when you combine that with the fact that it's a shorter slate than usual the pickings are somewhat slim. The guys have their eye on the KC/ATL game, which should be a shootout that also has some injury implications. The potential absence of Julio Jones and/or Tyreek Hill could open up some serious DFS value. Some other great teams to target this week include Chicago and Houston, and after that there appears to be a significant fall off. There are a number of total stay-away teams, like the Jets, Jaguars, Bengals, Giants, and Broncos. There are teams with reasonable skill options with no consistent plan for getting them the ball in Philly, Dallas, and Carolina. The Rams/Seahawks has a high total, but the last two times these teams

  • Week 16 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings

    23/12/2020 Duración: 34min

There are a lot of interesting questions for cash games this week, starting at quarterback. Can we start Jalen Hurts after two good weeks, or should we be concerned about the low completion percentage? Would Deshaun Watson just be a safer play at similar prices? Is it insane to go super-cheap at QB on DK and play Trubisky? The guys weigh the pros and cons of each. Running back features two easy plays in David Montgomery and Le'Veon Bell, but after that, there are a number of situations to keep an eye on. You've got the potential absence of Ezekiel Elliott, a bizarre QB situation in WAS (which impacts JD McKissic), and more. You'll want to tune in tomorrow for an in-depth look at the position on a game by game basis. Wide receiver has good plays at every price point, as usual, with headliners like Calvin Ridley and Tyreek Hill, mid-range options like Brandin Cooks and Jarvis Landry, and even some punt plays lurking in LA if Keenan Allen sits. • Week 15 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    17/12/2020 Duración: 59min

While there are a number of clear plays this week, there is no shortage of close calls. How do we pick between running backs coming off of big weeks, with a relatively short track record of that performance? How do we rank Jonathan Taylor, Miles Sanders, and even Alvin Kamara? Could we take a speculative look at JD McKissic? What about the Tampa Bay running back situation? After the obvious Derrick Henry and Cam Akers plays, things get hairy in a hurry. The guys also discuss how the perception of plays like Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray is changing. Can we trust either given that their carries seem to be headed back in the right direction or should we be more concerned with their larger body of work? They also discuss a number of lingering injury situations, a few surprise cheap options, and more!

  • Week 15 NFL Cash game plays for FanDuel and DraftKings

    16/12/2020 Duración: 34min

Quarterback comes down to a decision between Lamar Jackson in the best possible match-up with the Jags, and a host of cheap guys in interesting match-ups. The guys discuss the pros and cons of paying up for a known commodity or trying to ride the upside of a cheaper option like Jalen Hurts. Running back features two obvious plays in Cam Akers and Derrick Henry, and a whole lot of question marks after that. Doug and James discuss a few of the other potential options while acknowledging that you might be waiting until later in the week to solidify a third running back. Wide receiver offers Brandon Aiyuk and Michael Thomas as a nice one-two punch at the top of the position, with a few cheap punt options to consider after that. Can we depend on the cheap Dolphins receivers if Parker misses this week? The guys discuss whether we've seen enough to think about it. Tight end basically comes down to Kelce or bust, with even the reasonable cheap options carrying question marks.

  • Week 14 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    11/12/2020 Duración: 01h05min

As is typical in 2020, this week has gotten a lot more interesting as time has gone on. We have a number of wide receivers in Carolina headed to the COVID-IR, which has opened up some value there. Christian McCaffrey has been ruled out, which opens up Mike Davis as a value option. There are some core strategic discussions for this week as well. If we can only pay up at one spot, should we pick Davante Adams or Derrick Henry? Is it reasonable to run Devontae Booker out there again if Josh Jacobs were to miss another week? Can we really trust Aaron Jones in a great match-up with Detroit given that Jamal Williams is still lurking? And what do we make of running backs who could be poised for a lot of opportunity in potentially weird game scripts, like Myles Gaskin, James Robinson, or Dalvin Cook? This is a tricky week, so make sure to tune in as the DFSR team breaks it all down.

  • Week 14 NFL Cash game plays for FanDuel and DraftKing

    10/12/2020 Duración: 38min

It's a weird week for DFS, with very little value to support paying up at some key positions. Doug and James break down how lineups might look different this week than usual. Can we consider going cheap with Jalen Hurts on DraftKings, or should we just pay up for a safer option like Russell Wilson? Running back is odd as well, with Derrick Henry being the obvious big money play and a bunch of question marks after that. We have James Robinson and Myles Gaskin, but both of them are 7+ point underdogs. Aaron Jones has a great projected game script, but he's likely in a timeshare once again. We're basically just hoping for value to crop up later in the week at this point. Wide receiver is the first position that presents us with exciting options, with both Michael Thomas and Brandon Aiyuk looking comically under-priced at this point. The position rounds out nicely with the Houston situation, and even Corey Davis is AJ Brown were to miss this week. At tight end, we're basically deciding between Travis Kelce, Mike

  • Week 13 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    04/12/2020 Duración: 56min

The NFL is nothing if not strange right now, with COVID causing us to have a tightened schedule for Sunday's games. As a result, we have a thinner slate than usual to draw our plays from. Quarterback presents some interesting options, all with their own flaws, with Russell Wilson, Justin Herbert, and Taysom Hill leading the pack for us right now. Running back has one automatic play in Austin Ekeler, and then several speculative options. Dalvin Cook will be highly owned if he gets a clean bill of health, but after that, we're monitoring a number of situations to see if any cheap value springs loose. Wide receiver is probably the best value spot of the week, with Michael Thomas and Brandin Cooks being far too cheap for their current opportunity, and even guys like Keke Coutee if you want to go deep into punts. Tight end gives us decent midrange options in Hunter Henry and Evan Engram, and little else, so it looks like that position is fairly locked in right now.

  • Week 12 NFL Thanksgiving and Main Slate Game-by-Game Breakdown FanDuel and DraftKings

    25/11/2020 Duración: 59min

For a three-game slate, Thanksgiving presents us with a number of solid cash game options. We've got Watson holding it down at quarterback, Zeke and (hopefully) Swift at running back, and a number of reasonable receivers between Pittsburgh, Houston, and even Washington. We're keeping an eye on the Baltimore/Pittsburgh game to make sure it goes, of course, but it doesn't look like a bad slate all things considered. Sunday's slate is actually fairly robust as well, since there are no more byes for the rest of the season. We have two strong quarterback options in Josh Allen and Kyler Murray, with a little Taysom Hill if we wind up needing some savings on DraftKings. Running back is probably the most difficult position to break down at this point, with Salvon Ahmed being the only truly exciting option available at this point. We're hoping to be able to run Kalen Ballage, but we need to keep an eye on the potential Austin Ekeler return. Wide receiver is very deep this week, if a bit expensive. It will be tough to

  • Week 11 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    19/11/2020 Duración: 51min

The DFSR crew is back to break down every game on the main slate of FanDuel and DraftKings for week 11. With Christian McCaffrey going down, it looks like Dalvin Cook and Davante Adams will be the default pay-up options in all formats. We don't believe that it opens up Mike Davis as an interesting cash game play, but he's a great big tournament play. The guys go through the long list of cheap running backs, discussing how you might prioritize each in various formats this week. And there are a lot of them, with Kalen Ballage, JD McKissic, Salvon Ahmed, Damien Harris, DeAndre Swift, Duke Johnson, and potentially Giovani Bernard being playable this week. That's a long list, but the guys believe there are some clearly better options than others. There are some other questions to answer this week as well. To what degree do we trust Jameis in cash games, and how does he impact the Saints' offense? How do we handle opportunity projections for teams that played in windy conditions last week? The guys answer all these

  • Week 11 NFL Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings

    18/11/2020 Duración: 37min

James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games in week 11 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback has a few options that we haven't considered much this season in Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson. Herbert has had a surprisingly high floor this season, and has a great match-up with the terrible New York Jets. Jackson hasn't been the guy he was last season, but the upside is still there with him getting 10+ carries a game. The guys discuss the pros and cons of each. Running back presents a bevy of cheap options, and the difficulty this week is picking between them. DFSR feels like Ballage and McKissic are the best options, but people will certainly dabble with Harris, Ahmed, and even Duke Johnson. If you run two cheap guys, you're going to have room for a top tier play, and it will be tough to choose between McCaffrey and Cook. Wide receiver is actually fairly tough this week. Davante Adams is a great play (as usual), but can you afford him alongside McCaffrey or Cook? Thankfully there are some good

  • Week 10 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    12/11/2020 Duración: 59min

Things are certainly a little less certain heading into week 10 than they were in week 9, but we still have a lot to talk about heading into the weekend. There are a number of domino-effect situations, for starters. Which of the Seattle running backs is going to wind up playing, and will we know in time to set our lineups? Will Big Ben play against Cincinnati? What about the running back situations in Cleveland, Houston, and Washington? The list of situations to wade through is nearly endless this week. The most intriguing position this week seems to be wide receiver, where there is a slew of guys in the $5,500-$6,800 range that have similar recent production. The guys go game by game, constantly updating their list of which of these guys they prefer most. All in all, it could be a wild week 10, and this isn't an NFL DFS podcast you're going to want to miss.

  • Week 10 NFL Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings

    11/11/2020 Duración: 36min

James and Doug are back to take an early look at cash games for a much more sane week 10 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Quarterback is once again boiling down to finding the best high priced options, with Kyler Murray leading the DFSR pack so far. The guys go in-depth discussing whether you can consider Aaron Rodgers against Jacksonville, which could be a popular play this week as well. Running back is one big question mark at this point. If injuries break in a certain way, we have some phenomenal plays in Mike Davis, Duke Johnson, and Chase Edmonds. If they don't, we'll be left with a smattering of un-sexy midrange options. This position is a wait-and-see until later in the week. We'd really like to pay up at wide receiver this week, with Davante Adams headlining the week in a great match-up with the Jags. After Adams, we have two solid mid-range options in Cooper Kupp and Keenan Allen. If we can't pay up, there are discussions to be had about Terry McLaurin, Robby Anderson, or Sterling Shepard. Tight end is act

  • Week 9 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    05/11/2020 Duración: 01h53s

There is a lot more clarity heading into week 9 than there was in week 8, but that doesn't necessarily make it an easier one. There are a lot of close decisions at every position. How do we decide between Russell Wilson or Patrick Mahomes? What do we do if we lose the Texans game to Covid? At running back there is a glut of guys that look awfully similar. Do we lean into David Johnson, or do we try and get greedy with a play like Antonio Gibson or David Montgomery? Or can we move in the other direction, paying up for James Conner? Wide receiver doesn't get any easier, with a lack of cheap options really pressuring our budget. There are a handful of fun mid-range options like Keenan Allen, Stefon Diggs, and Tyler Lockett, but we might not have the money left over to afford it. Can we instead look to Marvin Jones Jr., Brandin Cooks, or even Sterling Shepard? There are a lot of nuanced conversations this week, and this is not a podcast you're going to want to miss.

  • Week 9 Cash Game plays for DraftKing and FanDuel Plus Election Reactions

    04/11/2020 Duración: 39min

We have a lot of good options at quarterback this week, and it really comes down to fitting one into the price tier you're looking for. Whether it's Watson, Murray, or Herbert, it's going to be tough to feel too bad about where you land. Running back offers similar chalk options in Dalvin Cook and Chase Edmonds, but the potential third slot leaves something to be desired. The guys discuss the pros and cons of options like David Johnson and Antonio Gibson, while allowing for the possibility that a cheap play could come along and change things up considerably. Wide receiver has a few great options in Julio Jones and Brandin Cooks, with a lot of question marks around who goes in that third slot. Do we roll the dice on a cheap Detroit wide receiver, or bite the bullet and pay up elsewhere? Tight end basically comes down to a decision between paying up for Kelce or punting to a risky, touchdown-dependent option. The best of those appears to be TJ Hockenson given Golladay's absence, but the guys throw out other nam

  • Week 8 NFL Game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    29/10/2020 Duración: 57min

With a number of pieces of potential injury news still outstanding, this podcast contains a lot of "if this, then that" scenarios. The trickle-down effects of certain injuries are just enormous. To cherry-pick one example: if Michael Thomas sits, Alvin Kamara likely becomes the best running back play, but there also become solid cheap WR options in Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway. Having this kind of savings means more expensive plays at other positions become more relevant. If Emmanuel Sanders returns from the Covid IR, however, these plays become less relevant. And this is just an example of one team! There's a similar situation in Seattle, where both Carson and Hyde have questionable tags early in the week. This week is so nuanced that you're just going to have to hear the discussion in order to really wrap your mind around it. Be sure to keep an eye out for DFSR's injury article later in the week, since this week more than any other so far this season really requires you to have your finger on the pul

  • DraftKings and FanDuel NFL DFS plays plus Week 8 Bets

    28/10/2020 Duración: 42min

There are a number of unknown factors that make it impossible to fully project what cash game lineups will look like for week 8, but there is still quite a bit to talk about here. Quarterback looks like it's going to come down to a decision between Russell Wilson and some cheap options in Ryan Tannehill and Derek Carr. If we wind up getting cheap options at other plays (like running back) we will wind up paying up. If we don't, we might need to go cheaper this week. Running back could go in any number of directions this week. Can we afford Derrick Henry? Perhaps, if we can get punt plays like Carlos Hyde going this week. There are several known question marks this week, with the status of Joe Mixon, Dalvin Cook, Aaron Jones, Chris Carson, and even Carlos Hyde up in the air. This is a position we'll need to revisit later in the week. Wide receiver has its own interesting discussions. What do we make of Tyler Lockett's 20 target week? How about Davante Adams' return to greatness? Can we roll it back with Marque

  • Week 7 NFL Game-by-Game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

    22/10/2020 Duración: 59min

DFSR's James Davis and Doug Norrie are back to discuss every game on the main slate of NFL DFS games on FanDuel and DraftKings. While some positions are looking chalky, there are a number of interesting tidbits to discuss this week. The greatest discussion centers around the running back options this week. Each of the big-ticket guys has their own question marks - whether it's Zeke's terrible week 6, Alvin Kamara's role with the return of Michael Thomas, or Derrick Henry's tough match-up with Pittsburgh, things are looking fairly difficult. We also have some potentially intriguing mid-range options, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire far too cheap if Le'Veon Bell doesn't arrive, Kareem Hunt back in a good situation, and Joe Mixon potentially missing this one. There are also cheap plays people could target, like Kenyan Drake or DeAndre Swift. For big tournaments, it seems like we could go in any number of directions. Wide receiver has plenty of questions of its own. Should we be thinking about expensive options in big

  • Week 7 Daily Fantasy Cash Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/21/20

    21/10/2020 Duración: 40min

Doug and James return with an early look at cash games for week 7. While we aren't staring down the barrel of a lot of obvious uncertainty this week, there is still plenty to think about. Quarterback is looking moderately straightforward, with Deshaun Watson getting cheaper while continuing to perform at a top level. On DraftKings the DFSR system is picking out some cheaper options, with Joe Burrow surfacing as an interesting option against the Browns this week. Running back is where the real questions start to surface, with the system wanting to play an expensive option, but not knowing which one. Kamara would be a great play if Thomas sits, but Thomas might return. Zeke would be a top option if he were guaranteed all the carries, but he got benched last week after having fumbling issues. Henry would be the best guy if his match-up were better, but he's going up against a meat grinder in the Steelers. And there are a plethora of mid-range options that look similar as well. Wide receiver continues to be where

  • DFS NFL Week 6 Game-by-Game Breakdown for DraftKings and FanDuel 10/15/20

    15/10/2020 Duración: 53min

It's difficult to do a game by game breakdown when some games might not even play this week (I'm looking at you, Atlanta-Minnesota), but here we are. With 4 teams on byes, a few games that are totally irrelevant for DFS purposes, and not a whole lot of intriguing injuries, this will be one of the more challenging weeks in recent memory. "Safety" might not be a word that applies to this slate when it's all said and done, so it could be more about trying to capture upside while grabbing safety where you can. That said, it will be more important than ever to get the fine details as correct as possible. Is this a game script where we could see James Conner return to a great share of the carries? Can we trust any Titans at all on record low rest after a Tuesday night game? How much should we be weighing match-ups this week? Is Detroit's incredible match-up with the Jags enough to vault them into lineups? And likewise, do guys like Joe Mixon or Kareem Hunt have such bad match-ups that we need to cross them off? The
