Hosea 4 is the fourth chapter of the Book of Hosea in the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. This book contains the prophecies attributed to the prophet Hosea son of Beeri. The chapter begins with a charge against Israel for their sin and idolatry. God says that there is no faithfulness, no love, no knowledge of God in the land, and that there is only cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery. He goes on to say that the land itself is mourning and that the people are wasting away. God then turns his attention to the priests, who are supposed to be the ones who lead the people in worship and obedience to God.
