Sinopsis
Hosea 4 is the fourth chapter of the Book of Hosea in the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. This book contains the prophecies attributed to the prophet Hosea son of Beeri. The chapter begins with a charge against Israel for their sin and idolatry. God says that there is no faithfulness, no love, no knowledge of God in the land, and that there is only cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery. He goes on to say that the land itself is mourning and that the people are wasting away. God then turns his attention to the priests, who are supposed to be the ones who lead the people in worship and obedience to God. He says that the priests are like those who contend with the priest, and that they are guilty of the same sins as the people. He promises to punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. The chapter ends with a warning to the people of Israel. God says that he will not punish their daughters when they commit harlotry, nor their brides when they commit adultery,
