Postgame 3/11: Flyers Get Worked Like You Wouldn't Believe
12/03/2021 Duración: 32minI'll be here a while thinking about that one. The first straw was surrendering the first goal, but the game was a not-so-beautiful disaster in which the Philadelphia Flyers lost, yet again, to the Washington Capitals. Philly played like a bunch of creatures without a purpose most of the night and have now gone 2-5-1 against NOT-BUFFALO since returning from the Covid break in mid-February. Whatever the problem is, the orange and black need to wake their minds up quick, because they've got a ton of games to play in not a lot of time and they won't stay home for all of them- after Saturday's finale with Washington they've got four straight and 6/10 on the road. Anyway, even I couldn't see beyond the gray sky in this one, because this team constantly makes the same mistake twice. Ok, I'm over this. Put the postgame on you sound system. BSH Radio #297: So when do we sound the alarms?
10/03/2021 Duración: 01h21minIt's been a lackluster couple of weeks for your Flyers, and as such, the gang is reevaluating some things. Do we worry about Carter Hart? Were we wrong about depth? Did we overestimate Ivan Provorov? Questions are asked, questions are answered, and all the while the gang tries to work through what needs to be done to fix the Flyers. Postgame 3/9: Nolan Patrick, Shootout Specialist
10/03/2021 Duración: 50minThe Philadelphia Flyers took a 1-0 lead over the Buffalo Sabres less than two minutes into Tuesday night's contest at the Wells Fargo Center thanks to James van Riemsdyk's eleventh tally of the year. Everything looked as it should, the perfect Get-Right Game coming off three losses in their last four games. Yet, somehow, Buffalo, a team that had either been shutout or held to two goals in six straight, lead 3-1 after 20 minutes. Carter Hart (3 goals against on 8 shots) gave way to Brian Elliott to start the middle frame, and the comeback was on. Kevin Hayes and Claude Giroux scored in the second period to ensure a 4-3 score through 40 minutes, and then Shayne Gostisbehere tied the game on the power play in the third ensuring a point. Sean Couturier should've ended the game with a breakaway in OT, but made up for that attempt by opening the shootout with a goal, followed shortly by a snipe from Nolan Patrick and a pair of saves by Brian Elliott to complete the comeback. Should they ever have been trialing? No.

Postgame 3/4: Gir-WOOOO
05/03/2021 Duración: 50minRemember when Claude Giroux wasn't scoring? Me neither. The captain came up clutch on Thursday night, netting a pair of goals himself and picking up an assist on a shot that glanced off Scott Laughton and behind Tristan Jarry for a 3-point night, capping the Philadelphia Flyers comeback from a 3-0 deficit in the opening four against the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. Sean Couturier picked up Philly's first to cut the Pens' lead to 3-1 halfway through the first, and then it was a fight back into the thing, finally capped by G's tap-in on a slick backhand pass from Nicholas Aube-Kubel. Certainly falling down 3-0 before the Anthem ends isn't ideal, but it sure makes for some great theater. For the full reaction, listen to the postgame. Learn more about your ad choices. Postgame 2/28: Eichel returns, history repeats itself nonetheless
28/02/2021 Duración: 32minIt's important to note that on the day Jack Eichel returned to the Buffalo Sabres lineup, the Philadelphia Flyers took the Alex Winter-lookalike on an excellent adventure, repeating yesterday's history with a convincing 3-0 win. Carter Hart got credit for the shutout in this one, stopping all 28 pucks directed towards him on Sunday afternoon, while Philly potted all three of its goals in a 21-shot second period en route to a blanking of Buffalo. Sean Couturier finished off a great play he started in the neutral zone by putting home a loose puck on in the paint to get things started, Michael Raffl got a stick on a nice point shot from Robert Hagg for the second, and James van Riemsdyk netted his tenth of the year on a beautiful deflection off a Joel Farabee shot/pass. It was another solid, necessary performance from the orange and black, dominating a team they should dominate to close out a 3-0 stretch against awful teams based in New York. Now it's on to March, which will start with three straight in Pittsbur
