FNP 103 : Autumn Clifford - The Lady Sheepdog
15/03/2019 Duración: 54minWelcome back to the Firearms Nation Podcast. I had the opportunity to be a guest on the Sheepdog Nation Podcast and was very intrigued by the host, Autumn Clifford. Autumn is a nine year law enforcement officer and started a podcast to get her thoughts out into the world and ended up gaining a following. Now her podcast also has guests on each week. Furthermore, she started a membership site for officers and other people interested in becoming better leaders which is a passion of hers. Autumn prides herself with her background in the martial arts as something that brought her confidence and helped her as a woman succeed in law enforcement. Autumn speaks her mind and just note, she’s not afraid of curse words so if you listen to this in an open not safe for work area, plug those headphones in. And, maybe this isn’t the episode for the kiddies. Anyway had a great time talking with Autumn and check out the links in the show notes to get over to her podcast or follow her on Instagram. FNP 099 : Ron Avery - Reactive Shooting Science (Summit Replay)
10/02/2019 Duración: 01h36minThis is a massive episode! I had Ron Avery as a guest on the first Shooter's Summit back in 2016. This interview with Ron is fascinating and the amount of info he breaks down for shooting whether you're in law enforcement or a competitive shooter, is extremely detailed. Ron has a scientific method to shooting and has taught many students who've gone one to become champions. Ron spent years as a police officer for a career and took that background plus his martial arts training to develop his style. While this is about 2 hours long, it has a wealth of knowledge in it! The 2016 Shooter's Summit is still available only when you purchase the 2018 Summit. Go to http://shooterssummit.com for more info. Please leave a review and SUBSCRIBE! Join the Nation!

18/01/2019 Duración: 50minIf you saw the movie “13 Hours” or read the book “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” then you know who my guest today is. Dave “Boon” Benton was one of four contractors who held the line in Benghazi when all odds were against them. Boon also had served previously in the Marine Corps and as a deputy sheriff. Currently Boon is teaching tactics and shooting to civilians and law enforcement. In today’s episode, I talk to Boon about his training, competition, how to develop courage and even a little bit about his favorite movie topic, “Star Wars”. At Boon’s request we are not discussing the incident in Benghazi at this time, but we do find out what gun choice he uses for home defense. Please leave a review and SUBSCRIBE!

FNP 096 : Mason Lane - Shoot at YOUR Speed
11/01/2019 Duración: 49minIt’s a balmy 78 degrees here in S. Florida. We hope you folks in the Northern states are taking care as a new storm makes it’s way across the plains. I had an interview ready to go when the computer took a dump and the recording got screwed up. Instead of trying to re-record, I decided to bring out one of the excellent interviews from the 2018 Shooter’s Summit. This week I bring back a guest I had on in 2017, now grandmaster competitor Mason Lane. Mason also is teaching at the SigSauer Academy and had a great year in 2018 coming in 4th at Nationals in Carry Optics (the guns with the red dots on them). Mason is part of these young up in comers dominating USPSA. Not to mention he’s a really nice guy and friend. In the interview you’ll hear me reference a video of a drill he did for the Summit. Each of the instructors this year provided a video drill that they felt either helped them make grandmaster or give out to students for their journey. If you are so interested, the 2018 Shooter’s Summit is availab

FNP 095 : Gabe White - Different Approaches to Pistol Training
04/01/2019 Duración: 01h02minHappy New Year! 2019 is looking to be a great and interesting year and I’m excited to share the year with you, the firearms nation. Last year I finished the third shooters summit and it got me looking at all the great interviews I’ve done since I began the summits. One interview I always liked was with a guy that a lot in the community don’t know much about. His name is Gabe White and he’s a shooting instructor in Oregon with his company, Pistol Shooting Solutions. While Gabe is known for teaching defensive pistol, he also tests his skills in USPSA and achieved a Master classification shooting Limited from concealment. Gabe also is the only person to every shoot the challenging Rogers Shooting School Test from concealment. Gabe has a very analytical approach to shooting, vision and practice so as we all get busy training again or want to start training with our handguns, I thought I would share this interview from the 2017 Shooter’s Summit. 21/12/2018 Duración: 01h06minI was able to train with Yong Lee for the first time since I met him when we were on TEAM SIG. This past weekend I took his first Advanced Pistol Optic Management course. It was definitely an eye opener when it comes to shooting a red dot on a pistol. With more agencies going to the red dot, I wanted to share some of the insights I took away from this class. Yong is retiring from law enforcement and will be teaching this class around the country. Yong Lee on YouTube Yleegm 2018 Shooter's Summit Please leave a review and SUBSCRIBE! Happy Holidays!!!

FNP 093 : Q&A with Steve Anderson
14/12/2018 Duración: 01h08minAs you know the 2018 Shooter’s Summit is over but I hold special live events for the folks who purchased the All Access Pass. As a way to add value, Pass holders had the opportunity to join the conversation this week with Steve Anderson. Steve is a top trainer and host of the successful podcast “That Shooting Show”. Steve also has been given the moniker of The Dry-Fire Guy simply because he’s authored three books on dry-fire. Steve’s take on training and practice has made a lot of people into successful shooters in both competition and law enforcement. I thought it would be interesting to share the audio rip from that live show as the concepts and answers to the questions can help many people. If you are interested in the Shooter’s Summit, you can get your Pass at shooterssummit.com. Consider leaving a review in iTunes..
