Meeple Overboard!

Wendy and Chris sit down to talk about CO2 Second Chance by famed designer Vital Lacerda. What does a heavy euro co-operative game look like? How does it function? Happy to have him back on to discuss the new project he's working on,  what we mean by lightening up, and also what we've been doing amid lockdown to keep light. We were joined this episode by Stephen Buonocore, president of Stronghold Games and de facto spokesperson for Indie Game Studios. We have him on to talk about his involvement as president of a successful game studio, roll and write games, and some great things he's doing to stay connected to the community during the ongoing shutdowns.

February of 2020 was a fantastic month for gaming because it features our favorite convention, Dice Tower West. It's convenient that our home grown convention has grown into a nice size convention with plenty of days of gaming. Plus, we also talk about some of the other games we played this last month. On top of being boring in real life as a physical therapist, he also is the primary board game teacher in the group, so we talk about trying to be a good quality teacher including the study, preparation, and execution of a good teach!

Greg Dickson from the excellent Hooked on Geek podcast is on today's episode! We talk about our experience together at Dice Tower West and take on the 3 o'clock in the morning topic of social pressures while gaming!  Nothing could possibli go wrong.  *Possibly.  Weird. That's the first thing that's ever gone wrong...

You read that right, Top Ten Games of 2018.  Why aren't we doing a review of the best games of 2019?  Well, because honestly, we haven't had time to play enough of them. But, we have discovered a TON of great games from 2018 in the last year, so this would actually be more instructive.
