The quiet confidence and control shown by Jesus as He deliberately heads toward the crucifixion is breathtaking. It is one of my favorite parts of the New Testament. If we take John's account to heart, it will change the way WE live. Read John chapters 14-18 and join us in worship this Sunday! As we continue our journey in 1 Peter, we will hear what Peter told first century Christians they should do about the governing authorities - including the Emperor. It's a challenging but ultimately COMFORTING, GOSPEL-SOAKED portion of God's Word.

"The way this world is going, I just KNOW the time is short..." The good news is that 1 Peter addresses this directly! Peter has been telling us who we ARE, now he is going to tell us what to DO. It couldn't be more timely. It has been wonderful to see the church full again, and we've enjoyed getting to meet a lot of new people. What Peter said to scattered, outcast Christians nearly 2000 years ago is encouraging, comforting and timely for us.
