Christians in times more difficult that our own received a pastoral letter from Peter, the once-impetuous disciple of Jesus. His purpose was to tell them how to bear up under their difficulties. And he has much to teach them. Peter himself has suffered, and learned, and changed. What Peter said to scattered, outcast Christians nearly 2000 years ago is encouraging, comforting and timely for us.
