People are coming to faith, growing to maturity, bringing friends to church, serving others... Wow! God is doing more than I can tell you and more than I can possibly know. To grow wise, there are things you need to KNOW and things you need to DO. Proverbs 1 (the foundational chapter of the chief book dedicated to wisdom in the Bible) will tell us ALL of it. Want to enjoy God? Your family? Your work? It's ALL there. I hope you'll join me, and bring someone with you. Read or listen to Proverbs 1 a few times before Sunday. I promise the time will be richly rewarded!

What difference does it make? The answers to these questions change the course of human lives and help fill up heaven! My prayer and commitment is that we will ALL grow to the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

We will try to keep the momentum going this weekend as we talk about what the Bible refers to as spiritual "Young Adults." Your "youth" is the season in the Christian life where you begin to make a difference in the world! EVERY stage of the Christian life has its joys, but spiritual Young Adults change lives and help fill up heaven. On Sunday, I will try to be clear and practical to show you from Scripture what we all need to do to reach this stage. Your spiritual growth will bless everyone, beginning with you! God is blessing our church. Week by week, new people are coming to faith, and Christians are deepening their relationship with God.

The Bible and experience both tell me that a surprising number of Christians will sit in this chair far longer than they should! However long you have been in church, I hope you’ll join us for worship this Sunday and listen carefully. When it comes to growing up as a Christian, time does not equal maturity.

Jesus said that we must be born again, and when we are, we are infants in God’s family! We are fully alive, and the cause of the family’s joy! Babies bring a lot of joy to families. They also give and need a lot of love. Whether you are just beginning as a Christian or you have followed Jesus for years, understanding the characteristics and needs of this first season of the Christian life will be a great help to you as you keep walking toward full spiritual maturity.
