227: Elizabeth Summers on a Peaceful Pregnancy
29/10/2019 Duración: 41minElizabeth Bio Elizabeth Summers is a nurse-by-trade turned entrepreneur. When she became pregnant with her first child, she discovered a need for accurate and balanced information about giving birth. After consulting with her Ob/Gyn physician about her plans for a natural birth, she became frustrated with the barriers she encountered. She was told by her doctor that most women “just get the epidural”. In order to have the best chance of birthing naturally, Elizabeth chose midwifery care even though it meant traveling nearly 80 miles to the hospital in winter weather! She realized though that not every woman in America has a choice in where she labors and how she gives birth. She has since developed an online course for expecting moms to help them choose maternity care that is aligned with their core values. She also offers private, one-on-one coaching in-person and virtually for expecting couples to help them prepare for labor and birth as a team. You can learn more about Elizabeth and her virtual do

28/09/2019 Duración: 15minThe number 1 response I got from the women who took my survey about what was their health goal was living a more holistic lifestyle. We are often unable to digest what's coming at us. How can we start to live a more holistic lifestyle? 212: 10 Minute Ayurvedic Medicine
07/09/2019 Duración: 13minI call this 10 minute medicine as it won't take long to complete these tasks but they will help you feel better in mind, body & soul. They will also help you connect more with yourself. I really am striving to help bring more awareness back into our bodies rather than feeling like we don't know, or have to have the right answer. If I ask how is your body doing today vs how are you doing? Is that the same thing? There is no right answer. So I ask how is your body doing today? If you're unsure pause this podcast and sit down unless you're driving but tune into how you really feel. Maybe your mid-back aches, maybe your hips are a little tight, or digestion a little slow, or maybe you feel really really good today. Notice what comes forward. 211: Living With The Seasons
03/09/2019 Duración: 26minI chose this as our September theme because I feel such a calling to connect back to our essence being in tune with mother nature, ourselves and the change of the seasons. I live in a state that does see all 4 seasons and do notice those subtle or not so subtle changes during a few of the seasons. But each season brings in new energy, life, and food. Let's start by going through the 4 seasons and the energy surrounding them. Each of these seasons will be broken down by dosha qualities associated with them. 210: Can you really get results from short workouts?
31/08/2019 Duración: 10minMy Experiment I'm super excited about a new project I'm working on to go along with the Holistic Fitness Almanac which is called seasonal living mamas. It is all about living in season, with the doshas, how to workout, eat and set routines based on what's going outside. As we are connected to nature and there is a reason in the spring we just want to run around and play and they call it spring fever, or cabin fever in the winter when you feel all cooped up and are ready to finally be outside. Along with living seasonally I wanted to bring weekly movement ideas into play. These workouts can be broken into 10 minute segments throughout your day or done all at once. I've been trying them out the last 2 weeks to see how I like it and how practical it is for the average busy mama to accomplish.
