(2:7) but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming to be in the likeness of men. (2:8) And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Rev 3:3-5)

Paul says, "FOR TO ME," to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Are you able to say that? Paul can't say that for you, but only for himself. Certainly his prayer is for you to share his passion and love for the Savior! Also today, we look at verse 23 which says, "For I am hard pressed by the two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better." He doesn't say he's hard pressed between the 3, including soul sleep--but the 2! For the great promise is made to the believer--to live is Christ, and to die is gain, and immediate gain!
