Perhaps I'll call this unfortunate series, "Oops, I did it again!" Today I want to look at 2 things that the Pope said from his balcony last night: 1. Everyone has the same heavenly father. 2. Everyone shares the same destiny. These statements are totally untrue, and have no basis of fact whatsoever! Join us for the Gospelstudy podcast.

"Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you." (Phil 3:15, NASB) So if we have the wrong attitude concerning anything, the Bible says, that "God will reveal it to us." The question is, "How does He do that?" Today we continue our devotion is Psalm 1. We see that, in order to be the kind of person that David calls "blessed," must meet certain conditions, such as: 1. Separated from the world's contamination 2. Saturated in the Word of God. Join us for the Gospelstudy podcast!

Amen."

Phil 3:12-14  "Not that I have already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I press on, if also I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.  (13)  Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,  (14)  I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Today on the Gospelstudy podcast, we look at these verses: "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead." (Phil 3:10-11) One thing is certain: Paul didn't take his salvation for granted, or not continue to work out his salvation with fear and trembling. Join us today for the Gospelstudy podcast!

"And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:" (Phil 3:9, KJV) The King James Version here says "Faith of Christ," while most other Bible translations read, "Faith in Christ." Which one is right? And why the different reading? Find out the answer to that question today on the Gospelstudy podcast!

"More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him..." Today on the Gospelstudy podcast, we look at the Apostle Paul, and how he threw it all away, in exchange of the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus Christ! Could you do that? Have you done that? And then he said that he wanted to be "found in Him." That certainly is the best place to be found!

Today on the Gospelstudy program we look at Paul the accountant's "Profit and Loss" statement! Join us! (3:7) But such things as were gain to me, these I have considered loss for the sake of Christ. (3:8) More than that I also consider all things to be loss, on account of the surpassing worth of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ..."

Today's podcast takes us to Phil 3:3, which reads, "For we are the true circumcision, worshipping by the Spirit of God, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, and having no confidence in the flesh." Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies." 

Preached at Island Community Church on Nov. 17th. Taken from a comment made by Pontius Pilate, asked of the Lord Jesus. Is it possible to discover absolute truth? You betcha!   "You say rightly that I am a king. For this reason I have been born, and for this reason I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." 38 Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" (John 18:37-38)
