In which Dude and Andrew dive into the new Netflix anime series, Castlevania. Definitely another great showing by the folks at Netflix. Additionally there are tons of announcements out of Disney's D23 expo.

In an amazing turn of events, Andrew returns to the podcast though he has absolutely no idea where he is. Thankfully Dude and Tracy have been holding down the fort and eventually Andrew is brought up to speed. The reunited trio discuss Spider-Man Homecoming along with the week's news.

If you have never heard of the much revered and much maligned author Eric Arthur Blair, you are not alone.  Most people know him as George Orwell.  In today's podcast episode, in honor of Orwell's 114th birthday this week, Dude and Tracy delve into the man's life and discuss how it impacted his writing and his family.

In which, Tracy, Becky, and Dude recap the full first season of Hulu's TV adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale, whose source material was by Margaret Atwood.  For perhaps the first time in recorded history, Becky actually agrees with Dude on something!

In which, Tracy and Dude gather a roundup of geek news and also discuss Margaret Atwoods The Handmaid's Tale in preparation for next week's podcast on the Hulu show of the same name.

In which, an all girl cast discusses the most recent addition to the DC Cinematic Canon, Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.  We talk controversy, girl power, the difficulty of portraying naivety, kind-heartedness, anger, and grief in the same movie, and the strange background of the man who created Diana Prince.

The first episode in a series of in depth examinations into George Orwell and the influence of his work. In this episode Dude, Andrew and Tracy look at Orwell's most famous work, 1984. The trio discuss their impressions of the book, it's meaning and whether or not it is an accurate prediction of where our society is headed.

In which Dude and Andrew talk about the disappointment that was Alien: Covenant. While Andrew wants to like it more than Dude, it's still not enough to make up for the films flaws. Andrew also goes on a bit of an rant involving some creative insults aimed at Bill Maher.

In which Dude and Andrew are joined by special guest Jeff Davis. The trio take a look at the 2017 summer movie season and the general conclusion is kind of unfortunate. Never the less, there is plenty of insightful commentary and Mr. Davis provides a little insider perspective to the show.

In which Andrew, Becky and Dude discuss the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. Becky and Andrew enjoyed themselves while Dude managed to sit through it without yelling at the screen. This is a major accomplishment for him. Things get slightly derailed when Dude's cat starts being weirder than usual.

In which, Tracy sits down with comedy rock star Mikey Mason to discuss one of his all time favorite books, American Gods, which has been made into a STARZ TV series, and is the inspiration for Mikey's album Storm Coming. The two of us compare philosophies, such as the God-Shaped Hole Theory and Plato's well known Cave. Mikey whips out some serious depth of knowledge and reveals that he has a personal quest to find Ash Tree Farm.

In which Becky and Andrew talk about the joys and horrors of being expecting parents. Andrew is certain that he is going to drop the child, and Becky is equally certain it will be Andrew's fault. The couple take an honest look at what they hope life will be like and how little they actually know.

In which, our heroes take on the recent news that a Marvel artist was fired for putting extremely controversial (and not particularly subtle) references to Indonesian politics into X-Men Gold #1, Tom Hiddleston's sex appeal, whether or not Taylor Swift is actually a fancy, animatronic suit, and finally delve into the depths of Marvel's 1991 event Infinity Gauntlet. We also reference goats a lot.

Our trio of hosts return to discuss Ghost in the Shell, the newest live action feature based on the classic anime film of the same name. Between actual whitewashing and an overall half-assed attempt, the film doesn't exactly deliver like the group had hoped.

Dude and Andrew indulge their inner 10 year old as the duo discuss Power Rangers, the latest nostalgic reboot. It might not be the best movie ever, but it delivers on what the guys were looking for. Our hosts also get a chance to dive into the latest Justice League Trailer, EliteCon's cosplay ban, and NYCC's decision to only sell single day passes for 2017.

In which, an all geek girl cast discusses Disney's brand new, live action remake of what is arguably their best and most well-loved animated classic, Beauty and the Beast. Tracy, Becky, and Donnelle discuss the adaptation of a cartoon to real life--especially the creation of real costumes that mimic the animation of the original and whether the CGI enhancements worked for this movie, and Becky postulates an interesting question: should this movie (and possibly future remakes) have left the music behind?

In which Dude and Andrew indulge their love of monster movies and review the brand new Kong: Skull Island. There is quite a bit of good, but also some noticeable stupid along the way. The pair also round out the episode with yet another cover controversy and questions about Stan Lee's health and how good he really is at female diversity.

In which, Tracy rejoins the cast of Therefore I Geek just in time to discuss the newest edition to 20th Century Fox's X-men franchise, Logan. This film is the first one to truly seem to bring the gang to a positive consensus--although all three of our heroes believe that it falters a bit in the third act. Dude reveals that he went to church, potentially dooming all of mankind, and Tracy hates on child actors (again).

Once again Andrew and Dude agree. This would probably be more cause of concern, but this week they are talking about The Incal, the science fiction masterpiece by none other than Jodorowsky and Moebius. It appears that the end of the world is avoid for at least one more week.
