The pair discuss the fact that the although a nearly flawless execution of the Marvel Formula, both were hoping that Marvel might take the opportunity to break the mold. Regardless, Black Panther is a massive hit, of that there is absolutely no doubt.

Dude and Andrew are once again joined by Jeff for a conversation about the 2018 Academy Awards. The general consensus is that this was a rough year for movies and the award nominations definitely demonstrate this.

6 months in and Becky and Andrew are still going strong. The couple share their experiences in the adventure known as parenting and try to mix some of their geek loves in there when they have a moment.

In fairness, it's been quite a while since Andrew yelled at Dude, so it was probably about time. What was your favorite super-powered film of 2017?

Andrew and Dude finally get around to inviting Baruch on the podcast so that he might defend himself. However, instead of giving Baruch that opportunity, the trio discuss 2017's biggest geek culture news stories. A lot of people died and, in general, it was a tough year for the fans.

Dude and Andrew indulge their trekkie souls and rewatch all four Star Trek TNG films, Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis. Overall the duo have some changed feelings, but in enjoyed the walk down memory lane.
