Think Tank, a YouTube channel, published a video on titled “7 Things You LOVE That Are Banned In The Bible”.  In the video the co-hosts engage in conversation about seven things that they say are banned in the bible.  They go further by providing the scriptures prohibiting the things on their list.  The list includes; bacon, football, t-shirts, gossip, tattoos, comedians and believe it or not sex. The NFL appears to have a huge problem with players committing acts of domestic abuse.  In recent weeks three NFL players found themselves at the center of controversy for abusing women in their lives.  The most notable is Ray Rice, who was seen on video knocking his wife unconscious on an elevator.  On the heels of this story is an account of Jonathan Dwyer of the Arizona Cardinals accused of head butting his wife and breaking her nose after she refused his sexual advances. Then there is Greg Hardy, “The Kraken”, of the Carolina Panthers.  In July, Greg Hardy was found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend and threatening to kill her.  These were the most notable abusive acts by NFL players against women recently.  There is another NFL player that has made the news for an abusive act.  However, in this case it wasn’t against a woman.  Adrian Peterson, of the Minnesota Vikings, is accused of going too far in disciplining his four year old son.  It is said that Peterson used a “switch” in disciplining h

“There Are No Innocent Black People” is the shocking title to a blog article written by Greg Howard on The Concourse.  In the article Hardy details the account of a black South Carolina High School student that was brutally arrested by a white School Resource Officer.  Hardy points to a lingering perception of black people as being inherently criminal. Agree with Hardy or not, one would be hard pressed to find anyone in support of the Officer’s actions including his boss.  His boss, Sheriff Leon Lott, fired him just days after the incident.  So it seems to be fairly clear that the Officer Ben Fields was wrong.  However, little to no criticism has surfaced regarding the actions of the High School girl whose ill behavior in the classroom was the catalyst for the entire event.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTWgJMVCy-g . Of all the Holidays celebrated in today’s world, few are as popular or as misunderstood as Halloween. For some the word Halloween evokes warm childhood memories with friends and family, Dressing in costumes and eating way too much candy. For others the word Halloween is synonymous with Pure Evil.
