KDKA TV’s Bob Pompeani joined the show. Where does Bob come down on Tyreek Hill and the possibility he comes to Pittsburgh? Bob is worried about the off-the-field issues Hill seems to always find himself in. Bob was impressed by the offense in the Week 1 win, but has concerns over Roman Wilson and Darnell Washington in the offense. Pomp is a little worried about the pair of backs Seattle has in its offense. Bob thinks there is a better chance the Seahawks beat the Steelers than Pitt blowing it in the Backyard Brawl. Pomp has the Steelers winning 23-17 with Jaylen Warren having a big day.

Teryl Austin said the Steelers defense just didn’t play well enough on Sunday against the Jets, the 34-32 win. The issue is that he acted as if that game was a one-off and not a regular occurrence, which is what it is turning into. They have given up roughly 27 points per game in their last 9 games – a number that would rank 30th in the league based on last year’s numbers. The Steelers had a strong defensive mind like Brian Flores in their building a few years ago, but they kept Austin over him. Why is it so hard to figure out how much power Mike Tomlin has over the defense?

PG columnist Jason Mackey joined the show. Jason does not think the Penguins will be trading Sidney Crosby. Does he have any hold ups since Sid’s agent made comments recently? Jason talked about the change in ownership that could be taking place down the road. Jason can’t see a trade of that magnitude happening at the deadline, but reiterated that he doesn’t ever see it happening.

How badly do the Steelers really want Tyreek Hill? The price tag is high, the trade return may not be too bad, but Hill has plenty of baggage. Is he worth all of that? The guys think it’s pretty damming to Roman Wilson because the Steelers could be at the point where they don’t think this guy has anything in his game. After the good day from Calvin Austin, should the Steelers be banging down the door for this to happen?

Chris asked about the relationship Crosby has with Evgeni Malkin and if Geno leaves, could that open up the door for Sid to do the same thing? What was going on with the defense on Sunday and how can it be fixed? Roman Wilson barely played on Sunday and Jeff isn’t confident those snap counts will go up on Sunday. Jeff gave credit to Broderick Jones for facing the critics today. Jeff picked the Steelers to beat the Seahawks with Jonnu Smith being the game’s MVP.
