Formula 1 is on their summer break and has been relatively quiet aside from a few rumors of drivers either staying in the series or possibly racing elsewhere next year.     With Nascar in Kentucky and Indycar in Iowa we get plenty of country flavor this week. Wall Stadium Speedways own Martin Truex Jr. displayed pure dominance throughout the cup race despite some incredibly adverse conditions in the final laps. Silly season is in full effect and we are just now learning where several drivers will end up next season.   Indycar had a less than stellar event at Iowa Speedway, similar to last year. Helio Castroneves broke a 3 year winless streak in a strong performance as he may be facing losing his ride for a move to sports car racing. Formula 1 had plenty of drama as well which leads us to discuss the rules for the standing start. Formula E will be making its way to Brooklyn this weekend for its debut race in New York. We then dive into our local segment to discuss the recent events at Wall Stadium as well as the upcoming pack the track night.

    After a month long hiatus due to the unfortunate disease of cancer affecting one of our show members, we have returned.  We have a lot to catch up on and a lot to look forward to. As we run through the recent show at Daytona involving the Nascar series, we look at the pros and cons of plate racing.  We then set our sights on Kentucky speedway.  Nick brings us up to speed on Formula one and his unwavering devotion to Ferrari, no matter what the circumstance may be, and all the action at Baku tis year which easily outranked last years snoozefest.  Eric and Josh get into a deep discussion on IndyCar at Texas regarding the pack racing and the excitement it brings for the fans and the drivers attitude on such racing.     A little twist on this weeks show, as we do our local segment first.  We simply couldn't wait to interview Pete MacDonald, a top manager at New Egypt Speedway, as well as content creator for Racersguide.com.  He gives us some insight into the inner workings at NES and discussing some of their larger Tuesday night events then continues on to talk about his other projects.  We wrap up with a recap of Saturday nights action at Wall Stadium Speedway and some guardrail discussion. In open wheel, there was a lot going on for the NHRA 4-wide nationals as the drivers were just bouncing off the walls with excitement.  Formula 1 had an unexpected winner, although the race was a bit lackluster.  Indycar held true to form and elected to go ahead with a race that was as boring as everyone expected, despite knowing a way to improve the product.  Then we have a quick discussion on the most American sport ever, "Demolition Drag Racing".     Short Track Season is upon us.  Local racing action is back.  We have results and stories from the weekend.  First we discuss a record making weekend for Nascar, Kyle Larson was the headline maker while other notables had some hard hits.  Formula One started its season in Australia and Nick as a completely unbiased review of the racing and some excitement for Ferraris win.  While Lewis Hamilton had "tire issues".    Monster Jam made headlines as the first ever front flip was completed in Las Vegas. Supercross had incredible racing action and the points standings are not what we had expected at the start of the season.  MotoGP was also in action and Eric Brennan has all the details on their race.   In the Local segment we discuss the career of racer Dave Steele who tragically passed away this past weekend from injuries sustained in a crash.  We then continue on to our Bridgeport results, with a preview for New Egypt Speedway.

    Just like that the Daytona 500 has came and gone. The guys talk about the positives and negatives of the new rules and how the NASCAR season seems to be shaping up.
