This week Kyle and Matt welcome back musician Eric Bryan for a chat about one of horrors most underrated directors Stuart Gordon. Sure, we all love Reanimator, and with good reason, it's awesome. But Gordon has an impressively consistent back catalogue. They explore how his years working in theater impacted his work in film. From the actors he worked with to the ways he pushed his budgets so his films always feel ambitious even when they were made for nothing, Stuart Gordon is a perfect example of how to do a lot with a little. Plus you get some riffs on basketball, the evolution of metal in the last 10 years, and dogs. A good old fashion rad and a little bit of Radtober in springtime. This week Kyle and Matthew welcome comedian Emily Walsh to chat about her recent dabblings in lego stop motion. During the big Q Emily has taken some old legos she and her boyfriend had in their apartment and began experimenting with stop motion animation. Her skills as a set designer helped her create some great sets and a book gave her all the start out info she needed to get started. This is a super fun episode and we hope it inspires you to go out and try something creative you've always dreamed of trying. This week Kyle and Matthew are joined by the one and only Lisa Curry. Lisa hasn't been on since our last boats episode because she spent most of last year traveling the world and doing stand up. But now she's back in LA and since we're all stuck inside we asked her to come on and catch up. Turns out before comedy Lisa dabble in home remodeling and since being quarantined, she been turning those skills towards her apartment. Lisa also recorded her first comedy album last year and her and Kyle discuss the process of finishing a record.   Also, after everything working smoothly for the last few eps, we had some tech issues. This week Kyle and Matthew welcome Tara McKinney to the show. Kyle met Tara years ago when she started working as a camera operator on Talking Dead. Over the years they've become friends and it turns out Tara is a hell of a writer. This is her first podcast and while we never quite nailed down a topic we ended up on a pretty solid groove for a conversation. The title comes from the fact that if Kyle or Matt got too nerdy Tara would just space out and think about girls. This week Kyle and Matthew welcome Khalid Salaam for a chat about the living dead and their place in pop culture. Khalid explains his parents unorthodox use of horror movies as a tool for punishing him as a child. But that which scares you as a kid often draws you in with fascination as you get older. Kyle and Khalid have worked together in various capacities over the years and despite the fact that they both work on a show about re-animated corpses, they explore a much broader scope of the zombie. We talk classic (and underrated) movies. The best (and not the best) video games. Turns out there are books about zombies. There is a lot of zombie media out there to choose from and they give you some picks for their favorites.
