The Balancing Act. Walking out our Christian faith a step at a time. Foundation of joy; Joy is a gift from the Lord it doesn't depend on circumstances, but rather is found in Jesus. Walking in relationship; We experience the goodness of God and the joy of our salvation. The joy of the Lord becomes contagious, inspires others, and is our strength. Rejoice always; Rejoice through worship, service giving, and going. Enjoy God; Not just on Sundays. Live a vibrant life. Have confidence in Christ. Experience His presence. Cares of the world; Stress, fear guilt depression, insecurity, and unforgiveness. Fruit of the Spririt; Love, joy peace patience kindness goodness gentleness and self control. 2Cor 5:7, Gal 2:20, Phil 4:4, Gal 5:22

Today-The Unrepeatable gift. This is the day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Our faith gives us access to all the resources in heaven. Were not lacking, the problem is we’re not looking. Potential; God has equipped you with the capability of being who He said you are becoming, what He called you to be. Opportunity; Each day we have an opportunity to impact lives for Christ. It doesn't have to be huge to make a difference. Provisions; arrangement or preparation beforehand. God is a Pro-At-Vision. Choices; We have a choice to believe and receive or reject and regret Challenges; god doesn’t count us out He gives us a way out. Challenges build faith, faith builds trust, trust builds results, He is the result. Psa 118:24, Psa 37:25, Matt 7:11, Col 2:11

Poquoson-This is your city. Dream God sized dreams for your city; What if you began to dream with God? Without a vision; Every obstacle becomes something to go around instead of through. Attitude and perspective; We are not called to reflect our culture rather to infect it. Look at people with the eyes of Christ. What are the benefits of dreaming God sized dreams; You will have big dreams, God is not limited. Deut 11:24, Prov 29:18, Eph 3:20, Phil 3:13, Ex 33:15, 1Tim 2:1-4

Why we do what we do. To Remember, To Rejoice and Worship, To Repent, To Reconcile. To Remember; What it cost to save us, Jesus is the only way to Heaven, His sacrifice was perfect, We are under the new covenant. To Rejoice and Worship; Freedom in Christ, Accepted in Christ, We have a relationship with our Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit dwells in each believer in Christ. To Repent; An opportunity for a fresh start, We can allow God to work in the areas of our life where we struggle. To Reconcile; Peace with God, Access to God, Fellowship with God, Justification, Adoption, Restoration, Spiritual exchange. 1 Cor 11:23-31, Exo 12, Col 1:20, Eph 2:18, Eph 3:12 Col 1:2, 1John 1:3, Rom 8:15, 9:4, 2Cor 5:17,19, 21, Acts 3:21, 26:18, Rom 5:1,5,10-11,19

Battle Ready. Satan strategizes with doubt, discouragement, division, defeat, and delay. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the devil. Faith; God is faithful, trustworthy, loving, forgiving and the all powerful creator of the universe and we can call Him Father. Encourage; God will never leave you. Always love you, and longs to restore you. Steadfast; Stand firm in the truth of God’s promises. Don’t be swayed by what others are doing. Hold fast to your convictions in Christ. Victory; We have victory in Christ. Ready; Keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy. Keep our eyes on the master. Watch for His slightest signal. Respond. Fiery darts of the Devil. Satan loves to twist the word of God. The devil fingerprints haven't changed. Doubt, Discouragement, Diversion, Defeat, and Delay. Doubt; makes you question God's word, we second guess His character, His love, His motives, His best for us. Discouragement; makes us look at our problems instead of God's promises. Satan tempts us with bait and we take it, then he uses guilt, fear and insecurity to paralyze us. Diversion; Satan loves to divert us from God's plan. He offers nothing but a cheap imitation through deception and fraud. Defeat; Makes you feel like a failure. We walk away from God into defeat. Delay; The devil wants us to delay our time, intimacy, fellowship, worship and prayer with God, and our decision of salvation, and repentance. Delaying is giving a deaf ear to what you need to do. The Power of Purpose with God. Motivate; God's glory often grows us through tough times. It keeps us relying totally on Him and He fashions us into the masterpiece He desires. Godly priorities; Godly priorities are only found in Him, in His word, in prayer with Him, in relationship with Him, in time spent with Him. Develop our potential; Developing takes time, God sees your full potential, God lovingly nurtures us into the instrument that can be used for His glory. Evaluate our walk; We are chosen for a purpose. are you allowing God to pull out the treasures He has planted in your life? Are you fully persuaded the gospel message is worth it? Phil 1:12, 2 Cor 11:23-27, Acts 14, 27, 28

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Prayer; The first step in any venture is to pray. Faithfulness; The faithfulness of God brings peace to the child of God. Spiritual Stability; Knowing and following God's ways bring spiritual stability to our lives and others, because His presence is in us. Pursuing God; His love paves the pathway for the believer to become everything God has called us to be. God's hand brings direction, protection correction and provision. People under God's direction can accomplish tasks that would otherwise be impossible. Challenge for November-listen to God and write down what he tells you, you will be amazed. Psa 29:1, 34:1-2, 8, Psa 123, 1Cor 1:9, Heb 4:12, Heb 12:2, Col 1:20, James 1:17

Focus on the Father. Our focus; is the start on the pathway to peace, directs our actions, sets the course and direction, directs our motives, impacts the outcome, our focus is crucial. Our position; God enthroned in Heave, It's about God's holiness, righteousness and reverence. The slightest signal; directs our response, focus on the one that serves. Active faith; Faith is produced for a purpose, abundant life, freedom, equip, serving, giving. If we don't focus on the Father we wont respond like the Father. How do you know if your hitting the mark, if you don't know what the mark is. Jesus is the mark. Psm 123, Eph 1:10-11, James 2:17

A Testimony Unleashed. Telling your story; Christ at work in our lives. We are nothing without Him. Builds our faith while glorifying God. Power Unleashed; Returns death to life. The power of God is displayed through our lives. Circle of Impact; Know who around you needs Christ, and pray for them. Rom 1:16, 1Ptr 3:15, Eph 1:10, Eph 2, Mat 5:16, Rev 12:11, Gal 5:1, Jer 29:11, Psm 23

Cultivating the Character of Christ. We must realize our dependence on God and know the promises from God, to see the purpose of God. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will direct your paths. What is the state of our heart? Why should we desire to respond like Christ? How does that change my view? How does this impact my life? Prov 3:5-6, Matt 11:28-29 7:7, 2ndChor 3:18, Jer 29:11

The Drifting Christian. The Danger of our faith afloat. Things we should know about drifting; It is dangerous to others, it ends in shipwreck. Common signs about drifting; Not reading your Bible, Praying quickly or not at all. How to anchor our soul; Anchor yourself in God's Word, submit, surrender and trust Him. It takes effort; Focus, Faith, Obedience, Resist, and Time. Heb 2:1-3, 1Pet 5:8-9, 2Pet 1:8, Eph 4:14, 6:4

Proud Hearts and Dirty Feet. Have the right motivation; be like Jesus by serving others. Have the right attitude; serve with humility. Have the right knowledge; spend time with the Lord. Be concerned with what God see's not the world. Phil 2:4, Mark 10:43, John 3:30, 13:34-35, Gal 5:13, Col 1:15-17, Matt 10:24, Isa 14:12-14

9-11 10 Years after. Reflection-How did it change the days that followed? Sacrifice-The surrender or destruction of something prized or sacred, considered as having a higher or more pressing claim. Connection-The true vine, Christ is our connection. Direction-Ten years later where do you look for direction? Christ is our direction. John 15:13, 2nd Chron 7:14, Rom 5:1 Rom 8:15, Rom 8:28, John 3:15, Matt 28:19

But who do you say I am? Throughout scripture God reveals Himself to us through His names. Whe we study the names that He reveals to us in the Bible, we will better understand who God really is. Who do you say Jesus is - Lord and Savior. If there is a need in your life there is a provision in Christ. Mark 8: 27-29

The Bite of Bitterness. Bitterness is the seed of the enemy that shackles us to bondage, anger and jealousy. Bitterness is the state of being bound by or subject to some external power or control. Bitterness gives birth to bondage allowing the enemy and others external control. Anger, the devil often attacks our hearts - the seat of our emotions. Jealousy, are you measuring you worth against what someone else has. Forgiveness, kills bitterness, exposes others to Christ, produces healing, brings peace and restores. Love, is patient, love one another, love the Lord, love your enemies, love of God. Forgiveness is like a chisel and love is like a hammer and when you’re in the hand of God, He uses these tools to break the shackles of bitterness and bondage so that were free to glorify Him. Eph 4:30-32, Heb 12:14-15, James 3:13-16, Col 3:14.

Identity Theft. What happened? Stolen Identity, Adam sinned which brought death. The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. The devil tries to steal our blessings; he is a deceiver, liar and tries to blur the vision of God's truth. God's grace is always bigger than our sin. Mistaken Identity - We often identify with the wrong things, we mistake kindness for weakness, and we mistake the impact of sin on our lives. We mistake the grace of God for the approval of God. True Identity - Our true identity is found in Christ. True freedom is found in His forgiveness, True rest is found at His feet. True strength is found in the faith of Jesus. True love is found in the Father. True power is given through the Holy Spirit. True blessings are found in a personal relationship with Christ. John 10:10, Rom 5:12, Eph 10-18.

Mirror Image. God's word is a mirror image of His heart. Jesus is an endless supply of God's love to all mankind. John 14:9 Jesus replied, "Philip, don't you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see Him"? What is your reflection, detection, direction and connection? Col 1:15, Heb 1:3, Joh 5:19, 2 Tim 3:16-17, Psm 119:11, Gal 5:22-23.

Panic or Purpose? I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills His purpose for me. The transition point from panic to purpose is through faith in Christ Jesus. Faith is the transition from fear to freedom. You are now leaving the comfort zone, so Evangelize the sinner, Equip the Saint and Exalt the Savior. Psalm 57:1-3, Psalm 138:7-8.
