Lost Trancemissions

Lost Trancemissions is back in full force this week with two hot new sets. One from myself and one from Alberto Sainz. Both sets have some amazing new tunes in them. This kicks off a new idea of having some guest deejays and producers on my show. If you are interested, send an email to rickorion@djrickorion.com and I'll give it a listen.

This weeks set has a boat load of hot new tracks. Kicking off with the more laid back Original Mix of Cloudbreak's Difference followed by the new track from Hydroid, Drawn to Depth. The 3rd track is one of my all time favorite vocal tracks, the Fable Mix of Lost Witness - Song to the Siren. The vocals in that track still blow me away. The last 5 tracks are back to back floor fillers. Out of them all I had to give the nod to Solar Stone - Eastern Sea (First State Mix) for the HTotW. The breakdown in it is absolutely amazing. The final track slams the set home with a unbelievable remix or Matt Darey's Eternity by Alex M.O.R.P.H. Alex has been doing his share at pushing the sounds of trance and this track is one of his best.

Wow, what a rough few weeks it has been. Working on a few different projects with a producer named Retrobyte and working on sets for EDMcast.com. This weeks set makes up for the time off, I swear. HOT HOT HOT tracks all the way though and an amazing unreleaed bootleg by Retrobyte closing out the set. I wont spoil it. Enjoy!

This year has been crazy and it flew by faster than any other year for me. I have so many things to be greatful for this year. Retrobyte for the opportunity to write my first song that will be released on a trance label. Hooje over at EDMcast.com for all the fantastic opportunities to showcase my mixing. And to everyone in this community for listening to my show. It wouldnt have started without you guys.

I know I have been slacking on my shows. I just have so much on my plate right now its insane. I decided to take this show a bit of a different direction. It will feature a more progressive and house feeling. I think it turned out awesome and I hope you all feel the same. What style do you all enjoy more?

My set from the Confusion Productions 2 year anniversary party. I was in the second room but had most of the crowd on my side. The set starts off slow and around midnight I kicked it waaay up. People went nuts for the old Marco V track. Good time. Thanks to Confusion, Pete, Todd, Scott, Jay and Marcus Beier for everything.

This weeks set will explore some filtered, funky, diva driven house music. I havent spun a house set in a few years now, but I think it turned out really well. I hope you all dig this.

I have received a hand full of emails asking me if Lost Trancemissions is changing format. I assure everyone that the show will mostly feature Trance still. I have just been experimenting with different sounds and genres to mix the show up a little. This weeks set goes back to my roots with some dreamy sounding tracks to start off with. The show picks up its pace at the half way mark and doesn't stop till the end. I have 5 words for everyone too. "Paul Oakenfold is on FIRE" Yes, I said it. I know a lot of people have been disappointed with his recent releases from Bunkka and Great Wall. All I can say is the two tracks I have of his in this weeks set are amazing. His remix of Madonna's Sorry reminds me of his old style, and his track "Faster Kill Pussy Cat" with Brittany Murphy is SICK! I for one am glad to see one of the guys that got me into the scene pounding out some hot tracks again. Hats off to the man.

WOW! That is what I can say about the tracks in this weeks set. In my opinion this is some of the best trance/progressive I have heard since the late 90's to early 00's. I kicked the set off with a bit of a break beat track that caught my attention. From there it just builds and builds and builds. The climax of the set kicks things into overdrive with Deep Voices - Imagenetic and closes with an absolute crowd stormer. Hands in the air goodness!

Just like last year around this time I decided to do a summer mix to get us all ready for the warm sun. When I think of Electronic Music in the summer I think of trance with guitars, deep progressive tracks and hot n dirty house music. This set includes all of the above. The first half is really mellow, like what I would listen to when I wake up on the beach. The middle gets a bit more deep and the end of the mix is like a hot, sweaty out door club event. I hope this mix brings the feelings of summer to you wherever you are.

This week I'm back in the mix bringing a bit more of a progressive set to the table. A load on hot new tunes are the backing to this mix, and the debut of my new track, Disconnected makes me squeal like a school girl. Disconnected is a somewhat uplifting progressive track with swelling synths and walls of bass that was conceived driving home one night. Stand out track in this set is Retrobyte's remix of his own track, Hot Damn. LOVE IT!

I'm back in the mix this week with some sick new tunes and some hot classics that haven't been pulled out of the crates in years. The set starts out kind of slow chilled out with one of my absolute openers right now, Cape Town - Proglifter. From there the set touches some progressive and then fades into some sweet ambient jungle with Talisman and Hudson - Leaving Planet Earth. Out of that is nice breaks remix of a REM tune and then the set picks up and pumps out the peak hour tunes. One of my favorite mixes to date.

This week Lost Trancemissions is proud to present an up and coming DJ/Producer out of California named Tim Sanchez, aka Illumin. This set starts out somewhat mellow but really picks up halfway and storms till the end. Stand out track for me is one of his originals, Test of Fate with its raw sounds and awesome breakdown. This week I decided to just reach into the record/cd bag and play whatever I pulled out. Lots of classics here and a few from recently. This is one of my longest recorded sets clocking in at over 2 hours, but I was really happy with how it turned out. I hope you all enjoy!

Been a while since I released a new set, so just in time for Christmas here is a new Lost Trancemissions. Some sweet tunes this week including a new mix of the classic track Fine Day by Opus III, and a unreleased remix of Retrobyte's Going Down.
