Sinopsis

Take a deep breath, get comfortable (in your car, probably) and bury yourself in Going Mental, a podcast all about…well, going mental. Both hosts navigate life while managing their sometimes debilitating mental health conditions: Neal's a screen and television writer, while Morgan is a Hollywood drop-out and current BuzzFeed editor. These long-time friends will be talking about living (and functioning) with an array of mental health challenges, from depression & anxiety, to ocd, bipolar, and panic disorders, while finding ways to maintain their mental health in today’s world. The show leans on their personal experiences, with a little pop culture thrown in, because they’re not doctors, like not even close. At least we're all in it together, right? RIGHT?

  • Episode 17: The Topic We've Been Avoiding

    10/06/2018 Duración: 38min

We recorded an episode about depression and suicide. We've been avoiding this topic ever since we started the podcast. It was always: Are we ready to discuss it? Are we prepared? Is it the right time? The truth is, the way society has structured polite conversation, it's never the right time. Regardless, it's happening, and we need to eradicate the stigma around suicide until it becomes an easy thing to discuss. That's the only topic this week.  If you are currently in crisis: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741 If you want to get in touch, join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/159915304602181/ we have a Patreon page:  https://www.patreon.com/goingmentalpod
