You may not be familiar with J-Pop. It means “Japanese pop music”. In Japan very few international artists make hits there, and none of Japanese artists have international careers, except perhaps music artists like Ryuichi Sakamato. So here is a little mix of some of the best mid-2006 J-Pop tracks. It’s fresh and I bet you never heard something quite like that, ever !

He is one of the best classic house / disco DJ of France, and many call him the French David Mancuso. Franky Trackmaster knows disco and house since it all started. Being also called “the navigator”, as no one knows better how to manage the MK2 pitch to blend two disco tracks. Going through his vinyl collection always makes any "classics"' head drope dead, as some of the gems he owns could, already at the time they came out, only be found in very limited quantities.

Born in Morocco, Amnaye Nhas arrives in Paris in 2001. The desire to mix takes over and he quickly shifts his focus primordially to honing his production skills. During the 2004, he becomes Sound Engineer for the famous parties Respect and Terrassa. This allows him to mingle with world-renowned DJs such as David Mancuso, Danny Krivit, Norman Jay, Dj Deep, Alex from Tokyo, Dimitri from Paris. This experience, lands him regular gigs as sound check guru for various DJs, including Joe Claussell, Timmy Regisford, Kerri Chandler and Dj Deep. In parallel, Amnaye continues his production work and meets the owners of Real Tone Records:Franck Roger and Lionel Marciano.They encourage him and in April 2005,they release Amnaye's first two tracks "Anzar" and "Afa" on the "Collection of Moods EP," which also includes 2 tracks by Alix Alvarez and Franck Roger. Amnaye's DJ sets reflect his eclecticism, going from Deep House to Techno, meeting Afro Beat and Garage on the way, with authenticity as his only goal.Currently, Amnay
