F**king Sports

In Episode LXII, Kolsky and Frei burn the serious subjects early with some discussion of Floyd Mayweather, domestic violence and the concept of redemption in the sports world; but that's just so they can spend an inordinate amount of time breaking down the real dope of the NBA Playoffs… There's a lot of hemming and hawing but two things are clear -- the Warriors are winning a title, and LeBron James is the best!!! In Episode LXI, Kolsky and Frei dive into some baseball issues -- none of which, much to Frei's chagrin, have really anything to do with the actual sport of baseball -- and also debut some new production sound before finishing you off with a little NFL Draft and NBA Playoff chatter… This episode includes Kolsky ranting and raving like a lunatic about the US Government's bad behavior -- don't worry, just close your eyes and it will be over before you know it!! In Episode LV, Kolsky welcomes new cohost Danny Freisinger (or something like that… he's on twitter here: @BayAreaFrei) for his first Fucking Sports podcast. They discuss Kurt Busch, Naya Rivera, the NFL Playoffs and the finer points of hiring a head football coach; and of course you'll get the assorted flotsam and jetsam you've come to expect from the podcast you used to love before it disappeared mysteriously a couple of months ago… We should probably warn you that the addition of Mr. Freisinger makes this podcast completely untenable for anti semites -- sorry, not sorry!!! In Episode LIV, Kolsky and Bonta ignore their ordinary mandate to talk about national issues and go hard on the Bay Area sports scene (which admittedly has been popping up in the big time headlines lately). In Episode LI, Kolsky and Bonta return with some general talk about the MLB playoffs and some of their usual self-referential bullshit before a debate about Bill Simmons and his suspension at the hands of ESPN's management takes things over down the stretch… Luckily there's nobody overseeing this shit-show, so the boys can say whatever the hell they want without fear of suspension -- in related knews, they may both be looking for work in the very near future... In Episode L, Bonta picks Kolsky up at the airport and they use modern technology to record a podcast whilst traveling at speeds of up to 75mph. Topics include NFL jerseys, NBA fashion statements, Bay Area traffic patterns and domestic violence in sports, among other assorted issues… It's a bit of a shorty, but only because it started to feel weird when the car stopped moving -- two dudes parked in a driveway talking sports is something neither Kolsky nor Bonta were especially interested in being!!! In Episode XLIX, Kolsky and Bonta share a couple moments of beautiful agreement on exciting new plans that are sure to be implemented by the NBA and NFL just as soon as representatives of those leagues give this podcast a quick listen. Specifically -- the Tony Stewart crash that killed Kevin Ward, Jr.; the NFL's embarrassing handling of their PED/Drug Abuse policy and how it's effecting current drug suspensions; and the sad, premature end to the life of one of the greatest comedians in the history of the world, Robin Williams… Sure, it's a bit of a downer, but on the bright side it includes what this humble podcaster would say is the greatest five minutes of sports-related humor ever created -- and it's reasonably short!!! In Episode XLVIII, Kolsky and Bonta get sidetracked with a discussion of hip hop -- specifically the greatest individual rappers of all time -- before the podcast can really even begin, but when it does they cover the ESPY's and talk about Ray Rice receiving a minor punishment for a major offense… As far as we know, this podcast can't tell you where Tupac is hiding, or whether he and Elvis get along -- but hey, we haven't yet tried playing it backwards!! In Episode XLVII, Kolsky and Bonta follow an extensive revisions and improvements with discussion of NBA free agency machinations, their own basketball exploits and some hard core stripper philosophy. After getting a little insight into the life and times of Mr. Hill (@BontaHill on twitter) they talk some about some potential plans for the podcast before diving head(er) first into the 2014 World Cup. You'll know it's a good fit (or at least one apropos to the history of Fucking Sports) because they only get to about half of the topics they had written down… We just know you're going to love the new pairing -- it's always great to score a new fucking* partner!!! In Episode XLV… … … well… … things have changed… … … … Hello, Friends… It's been an awfully long time since there was a new episode of Fucking Sports. Sadly the veritable podcasting dream team of Matt Kolsky and Andrew Hopkins has been semi-permanently terminated thanks to the pressures and commitments of real, adult life. Hopkins' real, adult life, because Kolsky has very little of any of that. Whatever the reasons or inspirations, things be changin' in the world of this podcast, and this episode represents the beginning of that shift… Kolsky is alone and unfettered for you -- which, now that it's written down, invokes memories of many events in his life, most of which were not entirely pleasant.
