What do we do when the life we long for feels completely out of reach? Isaiah 42 answers by pointing to God’s promise of new life through His Servant, who brings justice, healing, and freedom not through force, but through mercy and compassion toward the broken and weary. In our weakness and inability to change ourselves, we are invited to look to Him, receive His mercy and strength, and live in hopeful anticipation of the new life He has begun and will one day fully complete.

What does it really mean to be a Christian? Scripture makes clear that Christianity is not merely knowing about Jesus, but being a disciple—someone who follows Him closely, is shaped by His presence, and allows Him to define their purpose and direction. To be a disciple, then, is to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and live for Jesus, responding to His gracious invitation to follow Him with a life marked by love, transformation, and mission.
