A fantastic podcast was almost spoiled by my failure to pay close attention to recording it. About 40 minutes in, DavidNZ came online briefly (but then had to go again) and I failed to notice that I hadn't restarted the recording. Luckily Darryn was recording also, so panic over! The final podcast for 2009 features a discussion about the year that has been....an exceptionally eventful year. Glenn Wolsey, iPod writer for NZ Macguide magazine talks about his experience coming to the Apple Mac and his experiences in using the Mac to support his digital photography interest. Glenn compares the advanced Aperture application with the standard iPhoto that comes with most Macs. He dispels some of the beliefs related to Apertures performance and highlights some of its great features.

Darryn Lowe, a system engineer at Datacom talks about his work repairing PCs and the impact that having Intel chips in a Mac is going to have in the corporate world and beyond. He talks about how Windows users will be impressed with how the Macs look, their price and their functionality, both on the Windows and Mac OS side of things. Apple has managed to cram more into a cool computer than any PC users have achieved.

NZMac.com guest Scott Bulloch, Audio Product Specialist at Renaissance NZ Limited talks to Nathan Haines, world renown flute and saxophone musician. Nathan talks about some of his recent work, including a recording with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra which his brother mixed in Logic at home. He talks about his recent trip to Europe gigging and recent collaborations. Using iChat, Nathan is able to share files and discuss this with musicians he is collaborating with, adding his tracks to Logic and then given these file back.
