Recorded before the final at the Citi Open in Washington, commentator Brian Clark is joined by former player and regular Tennis Channel contributor, Leif Shiras, to look back over events in the US capital and ahead to the National Bank Open, presented by Rogers in Toronto. Along the way we hear from the likes of Washington finalist Jannik Sinner, Tokyo Olympic hero, Kei Nishikori and former Citi Open winner, Nick Kyrgios, whilst Miami Open Tournament Director James Blake gives his perspective of what it's like to run a Masters 1000 event in a pandemic.

Chris Bowers is joined by former Olympian, Jill Craybas to discuss events in Tokyo and to also look ahead to the upcoming tournaments in Washington, Toronto and Cincinnati. We also hear from former players Patrick McEnroe, who spent seven years shaping the US Tennis Association and from Brad Gilbert who’s book ‘Winning Ugly’ is now 28 years old, but as Brad explains, still as relevant as ever.

With the Olympics in Tokyo officially underway, we turn our attention to the tennis event and discuss who’s in the running for Gold, Silver and Bronze. We also hear from a man with two Gold Medals, Chile’s Nicolas Massu and from young player Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who takes his place in the Spanish team, but we start by getting the perspective of freelance tennis journalist, Reem Abulleil who’s a columnist for UAE’s ’The National’ newspaper during the Olympics, along with her work for Saudi Arabia’s Arab News. We also hear from leading Serbian journalist and commentator, Nebojsa Viskovic and look back 50 years when American player Stan Smith lost a Wimbledon final, before winning one a year later.

What a week it has been here in Madrid, upwards of 5000 fans every day in the Caja Magica, that’s felt special in itself, not that they got everything they wanted with Rafa Nadal, the greatest there’s ever been on clay beaten in his own house, outgunned at altitude on a court where the big hitters continue to shine.
