Acting Without The Drama

There just is never enough time to do everything I want on the show, so when I come across a topic that I love, I've just gotta spend more time with it!

Okay, it's time to talk turkey... or actually, British.  This espisode, I'm going to talk about what it takes to train yourself to speak in different dialects.  Join in, mate!

So I had so much fun last week that I thought we'd take one more turn around the self-promoting merry-go-round.  Join in!  Otherwise, it'll be pretty lame.  #seriously #helpaguyout

This week, we're going to do something a bit different--we're going to come up with a bunch of different ideas to jumpstart our careers.  Marketing, networking, the industry--we'll talk about it all!

Okay, yes.  I talk too much.  So, last week we really didn't talk much (at all) about commitment.  So, we'll try to do better this time.  No promises, though!

Okay, we've talked about connection and communication.  Now it's on to the final "C", commitment.  It's all about making choices & then following through... in our acting.

This week we're continuing with our talk about communication.  We'll discuss internal obstacles and actions.

Yes, we've talked about conflict on the show before. No, we really can't overemphasize how important it is. So, for this episode I'll be talking about how to find, clarify and heighten the conflict in a scene to make it more compelling. We'll also discuss objectives. Woo hoo!

After a week off, I thought it might be a good idea to go back to the essential core of what it is that we, as actors, do. We'll be talking about conflict and the three C's of acting.

Time for another dose of Twitter info. Last week we talk about how Twitter works and ways to identify other serious Twitter users--not to mention how to beef up our own accounts. This week we're talking branding--branded tweets, commercial tweets, social tweets. What is the difference between them and what does each do for me as a Twitter user.
