Promises Made, Promises Broken
17/08/2021 Duración: 01h33minWhat a roller coaster from developers this week. EA plans to focus more on their sports games and Apex Legends as sales of traditional releases decline. Apparently Take Two didn't get that memo, because they're preparing to release a whole mess of AAA titles in the next few years. The highly anticipated Sony exclusive Horizon: Forbidden West is officially delayed into 2022. Not that it really matters, because PS5 consoles are still incredibly rare. Jackie Fingaz and Kevin played The Ascent courtesy of Game Pass, so they'll weigh in on the dystopian cyberpunk twin stick shooter RPG. That's a lot of adjectives. Let's go!

Late April, Fools
06/05/2021 Duración: 01h06minAfter a less than favorable response from it's player base, Sony has walked back it's decision to shut down the PS3 and PS Vita stores this June. The PSP store will close as originally planned. E3 returns this year as an all digital, free to stream event for anyone, though we have to assume there will be some private media streams. Xbox announces a list of backward compatible games now streaming on Xbox Cloud Network, both on PC and Apple mobile devices. The web browser based streaming addition seems to be Xbox's way around Apple's roadblock. Kevin played stuff, but Jackie Fingaz didn't. Shame on you, Fingaz.

Even more interesting is the news that Sony has listed an open position for Head of Mobile. PlayStation 5 gets its first major system update, adding support for a wider range of 120Hz monitors, improving HDR, and most importantly allowing you to store PS5 games externally. Still can't play them externally though. E3 returns as an all digital event, and a new BioShock game appears to still be in development. Stay tuned to see what Jackie Fingaz and Kevin were up to the last few weeks.

A bunch of named Cyberpunk content suddenly appeared in the Epic Games Store, but it's not DLC according to CDPR and has since disappeared from the store as mysteriously as it showed up. Jackie Fingaz and Kevin tried to play Outriders together, and then tried to play ME 3 multiplayer together. Prepare to be entertained.
