Radio Free Asgard

This week we celebrate our 10th anniversary, and wrap up this chapter of my life with a nice tidy bow. I talk about the past, the present and hint at future doings! We also have a review, covering what I believe to be the very earliest comic story featuring Thor, from waaay back in 1940!  Thanks very much for your support over the past decade's worth of shows, and I'll see you around! (Much like Loki, I'm not gotten rid of so easily!)

This week we finish up our coverage of Ultimate Thor with issue #4! In this episode, we meet Ultimate Nick Fury, Ultimate Hulk, Ultimate Cap, and Ultimate Iron Man (kind of), and of course, Thor the ultimate self-help guru and life coach! Plus, the secret of Don Blake is revealed! Excelsior!

It's the penultimate Ultimate Thor issue as we cover #3! This issue includes the World Bonsai Tree, the Ultimate Not-Warriors-Three making their last stand, a Giant Ice Doggie, and Ultimate Ragnarok! Nuff said!

This time, we have a look at Ultimate Thor #2!  The Nazi invasion of Asgard is underway, as Baron Zemo makes his move! Blake does an MRI of Thor's head, and we see a re-imagined Hogun, Fandral and Volstagg! Also, Heimdal minds the gap!

In this, our final mythology episode, I talk a bit about the influence of mythology in human societies, how this can be a corrupting influence, and then talk about how doing this show has changed my perception of Norse lore.  

This time we're looking at a somewhat different take on the Thunder God as we cover Ultimate Thor #1 from 2010! This issue features the Ultimate Warriors Three, Ultimate Nazis, and Ultimate Captain Britain! Also Hickman and Pacheco!

This week, Helheim breaks big-time as we wrap up our coverage of Ragnarok: The Breaking of Helheim with issue #6!  In this issue, Thor's so hungry he can eat a horse (and slobbery apples!), Drifa's subplot goes nowhere, and Nidhog goes down the hole... 

It's issue #5 of "Ragnarok: The Breaking of Helheim" this week, as Helheim continues to, well... break... This issue has (a) Big Bird, a suspiciously speedy wolf, a frozen nose, some flirting, and some moonshine!

This week we cover Ragnarok: The Breaking of Helheim #4! Of this issue, I need only say one thing: "THOR FEEDS PUPPIES IN HEL!!!" ('Nuff said!)

This time around, we cover Ragnarok: The Breaking of Helheim #3! In this issue, Thor fights an old lady, the secret of Freyr is revealed, and a big gold bridge isn't what it seems to be!

Helheim breaks a little more this time, as we cover Ragnarok: The Breaking of Helheim #2! In this issue, we see many dwarves, lava falling from the ceiling, one panel with Ratatosk, and a presumptuous mortal taking on the mantle of a God...

This time out, we learn the post-Ragnarok fate of the All-Father himself, as we look at Thor V3 #7! 'Nuff said!

Happy December, everyone! This time, we cover Thor v3 #6! In this issue, we learn about Asgardian plumbing, human/god relationships, Thor gets struck by lots of lightning, and Hogun helps change a tire! Nuff said!

Happy Thanksgiving! It's the return of some old friends this week as we cover Thor v.3 #5! In this issue, someone is kidnapping Asgardian hosts, we have an unexpected cameo, and yes... there will be cake!

It's Thor v3 #4 this time around, as we see the return of some old friends...rather...THREE old friends. Also, Thor rips apart the Earth, and a French person comes to Oklahoma!

This week we look at Thor Vol. 3 #3, the issue where Thor gives Iron Man a hickey! Also, Thor goes to N'awlins and we are reintroduced to an old friend! As an added bonus, I do the worst Cajun accent since the 90's X-Men cartoon!

This time we cover Thor v3 #2! In this issue, Don Blake starts to make some friends, Thor creates an entire city out of thunderstorms and nothing, and also buys some land!

With this installment, we launch into a long promised, along awaited run, Thor vol. 3!  Issue #1 sees J. Michael Staczynski and Olivier Coipel bring back Don Blake! Thor! Oklahoma! We also have....uh...conversations! (and a few non-existence monsters thrown in...)
