Episodios

  • TL43 - Built To Fail..

    21/10/2009

Sony. Fail. That's pretty much all I can say without cussing. I discuss this topic along with how I acquired a trailer for $150 and what's wrong with Annie... a stream of consciousness as I sit here this afternoon listening to music and tossing things around in my mind. All hail The Gonzo Goat Rancher!!

  • TL42 - Think You Have It Bad?

    18/09/2009

Ok, so the cover art and title really have nothing to do with this episode... but it was funny. It's been awhile since I posted an episode and I thought it was time to drop a line to you all.Just an update, hope everyone is doing well.

  • TL40 - Full Circle

    01/05/2009

I am rapidly coming Full Circle as my situation evolves. Things are fluid and I have had to re-record this episode three times now as everything changes faster than I can record. In any case, this is an update or a status report if nothing else. 1 step forward and 2 steps back is how things seem to be going. On a positive note I have secured my driver's license and for some reason my 2 year suspension has been lifted 6 months early! Not one of my best podcasts but I have been gone for awhile, my apologies.Featured Artist: Getaway CarCourtesy of GarageBand.Com

  • TL39 - Podcasting Preachers & YouTube Whores - Part II

    28/10/2008

In Part I discussion revolved around a lot of the strategies people use to push their content across YouTube. Cheating, using bots to create a huge subscriber base as well as the hate and bashing that goes on. Doing video or podcasting is a passion for many. It takes something special to rise above everyone else. There's a lot of content out there and it's not slowing down. If anything New Media is rapidly evolving. In Part II we continue our discussion as we explore what it takes to push yourself beyond the envelope.Featured Artists:DJ eChria VaughnJames C AllenPaul JannicolaCourtesy of The Podsafe Music NetworkEpisode Links:Trucker SteveEskimo SeanTrailer Park Boys

  • TL38 - Podcasting Preachers & YouTube Whores - Part I

    20/10/2008

Enter the world of Web 2.0 - where social media networking drives NEW MEDIA to the edge. Gone are the days of Google Ads & search engine optimization.. Today it's all about Tags & Gags.. The more people that follow your content online determines who you are. There are so many people out there with something to bring to the table, podcasters with a passionate message, YouTubers with flair and style not unlike the shows found on prime time TV. Yet many of these visionaries get slapped with labels such as Whore, Preacher, Sell Out... Why? What are they doing to earn this disrespect? More importantly, why do people automatically take that stand against others that are trying to promote their passions and follow their dreams?Join me as I discuss this cultural enigma with a few of today's hottest new media artists as they share their views on self promotion and what it takes to climb to the top in this environment.Featured Artist: Sundial ProjectCourtesy of The Podsafe Music NetworkEpisode Links:Trucker SteveEskimo

  • GJ #09: Every Dog Has It's Day

    12/10/2008

Original Air Date: March 5, 2006Find out why the DOT pulled me in at the Cottonwood scales on I-5 in California! Find out how a stupid mistake almost cost me big... This podcast was recorded over the last few days as I made my way from Stockton, CA to Portland, OR where I delivered a load of grocery items at Safeway.I also delve into the sick, sad world of animal abuse. Pet Abuse more specifically, where I rant a bit on those who take on the responsibility of pet ownership without giving any forethought to the time, expense and care that goes into providing a healthy and prosperous environment for these creatures. In addition I talk about the wack jobs that steal pets for the purpose of selling them to research labs where they have little chance of ever seeing the light of day again...Featured Artists:Dream RealPeter Kemble100 Year PicnicSmeerCourtesy of The Podsafe Music Network

  • GJ #08: No Strings Attached... Are We ready For High Speed Wireless?

    11/10/2008

Original Air Date: March 2, 2006Recorded in Sacramento, CA this podcast includes my first try at including music from the Podsafe Music Network. The whole music thing is new for me but I love being able to include it in my podcasts. Some bitching about the way the different terminals don't really give a shit about drivers out of other terminals and in particular the night shift which is hard to deal with always. For some strange reason I actually plugged the wireless providers in this episode... I apologize for my momentary insanity...Featured Artist: SmeerCourtesy of The Podsafe Music Network

  • GJ #06: It's All About Me...

    06/10/2008

Original Air Date: January 29, 2006Recorded in Billings, MT parked at a Flying J Truck Stop. Mostly disjointed rambling about problems posting video to iTunes. I answer a couple of emails from listeners and then talk a bit about places I'd like to settle down and buy a house. I was surprised to find Rapid City, SD to be appealing as I had always thought of the Dakotas as pure wasteland...

  • GJ #05: How The Fuck Should I Know?

    05/10/2008

Original Air Date: January 25, 2006Recorded in Mt. Vernon, IL where I talk about customer service, or the lack of it as I relate some experiences involving poor service. Best Buy and Fry's Electronics make the list along with fast food chains and in particular I talk about my experience at a TA Travel Center in Ontario, CA where I tried to purchase a gallon of gasoline and after being verbally abused was asked to leave! A complaint was filed but nobody ever followed up with me from the TA Corporate Offices...

  • GJ #03: Keep On Rollin'

    04/10/2008

Original Air Date: October 29, 2005Recorded in Cullman, AL this episode includes my first sad attempt to include music in my intro.. I discuss my travels & a bit of talk about hours of service and how it affected me. Discussion of software that I was using to record my shows & various other rambling. These shows were primarily recorded for my family and friends back home originally but as the podcast grew I began to address other trucking podcasters and the public in general, you will notice that change in upcoming GJ episodes.

  • GJ #02: Google Earth

    04/10/2008

Original Air Date: October 5, 2005Recorded in Witchita Falls, TX where I do a recap of our recent travels before discussing a web based GPS positioning widget I was tinkering with. • GJ #01: The Gear Jammer

    04/10/2008

Original Air Date: September 30, 2005This where it all began... Very short "test cast" that I did to get the ball rolling. This podcast ends abruptly and I was unable to locate the draft file that contains the entire recording. I don't think more than 20 or 30 seconds is missing however.

  • TL37 - The Gear Jammer

    01/10/2008

Turning back the pages today, I reminisce about my driving days and in particular, The Gear Jammer...I had a blast doing that show. Although I only did 12 episodes, this is where my podcasting journey all began. I miss trucking and will play some clips from past Gear Jammer Episodes. In addition, I am going to include a previously unreleased interview I did during the GrindKing days. I had an opportunity to interview a woman who I dubbed CrackHead Kim.Kim was a prostitute and Crack addict struggling to recover.. This interview takes place at a Motel 6 in Sacramento, CA just after my accident that resulted in my quitting my job and direclty prior to my arrival at The Vortex....

  • Fragments: Episode One [Gypsy] Repost

    14/09/2008

The year was 1988. I was 25 years old and homeless by choice. Living in a tent near some percolation ponds, my only companion was a dog named Gypsy that I had adopted from the pound. Each day was a struggle to get through. Overall I was unhappy with myself and the world I had been cast into. Gypsy made things seem better and things went as well as they could until one day she was abducted...In each episode of Fragments I will reveal a bit more of my personal history as I take you for a short trip into my past. Join me as I pick an event, tragedy, crisis or triumph and relate the story to you as it took place from my perspective at the time. This mini-series is intended to compliment the Confessions saga and fill in the gaps by detailing the more important points in my life. Each of these stories is a dramatization of the actual events that took place, produced in audio book fashion as I tell the tale.

  • TL36 - The Vortex, The Evil Sorcerer & The River of Blood

    20/08/2008

The ground has become unstable.. the Vortex is in a state of flux.. the arrival of a drifter has set into motion a chain of events that threaten to unravel the fabric of things here.. and yet his true agenda remains a mystery. While this game plays out I am subjected to psychic assault not once, but twice. This drifter wields power over my landlady and displays an adept ability to alter my conscious mind. Illusion or magic? Is he a pawn or a minion? His appearance and the subsequent effect of his arrival are not coincidence. Yet there are more questions than answers at this time.During all of this another Doberman will be put down. AJ is one of our own. I helped deliver him into this world and stood by him for the first 6 months of his life. Now due to circumstances that have taken place, he has been deemed unsalvageable and sentenced to death. The blood flows from this vortex once again like an open wound..Featured Artists:Allied RadioUrban Van BlueVelvet8ballCourtesy of The Podsafe Music Network & GarageBan

  • TL35 - Trailer Life Theatre

    14/08/2008

It's been two years since my arrival here at what Annie has dubbed "The Vortex" and I seem to be moving in place. Going nowhere fast. My original intent was maybe based on my dismal outlook on things, I had decided to stay for an undetermined period and pour my money and time into fixing up this rotting husk of a trailer. In the last six weeks I have given serious thought to my situation. Friends have made an effort to get through to me, trying to raise my spirits and at the same time enlighten me as to the reality of where I stand. My friends say the things that are expected of them, like a routine that has been rehearsed many times over. I respond in like, always giving assurances that I appreciate what they are saying and that I will think about things. Then, as per the unwritten script, nothing changes.Enter Annie - she also knows her lines and is a supporting role in my theatre of life. But Annie doesn't follow the script.. She pushes me and when I respond with my worn out lines that have always worked i

Fate is the architect.. Karma is the balance.. Temptation is the open wound that never quite heals.. Corruption is the sickening malignancy that festers in the twilight, elusive and always just beyond our reach.. We make choices and we live by the consequences of our actions. Some of us will make it, others will fall..I have come to another crossroads in my life, I have become one of The Fallen..Topics Covered: Friendship, Defining Perspectives For Other People To Live By, Choices, Actions & Consequences, Getting TerminatedVery special thanks to Annie for lending her voice to this cast..!Featured Artist: Allied RadioCourtesy of The Podsafe Music Network   Stream This Show - Click Here!
