Sony. Fail. That's pretty much all I can say without cussing. I discuss this topic along with how I acquired a trailer for $150 and what's wrong with Annie... a stream of consciousness as I sit here this afternoon listening to music and tossing things around in my mind. All hail The Gonzo Goat Rancher!!   

Ok, so the cover art and title really have nothing to do with this episode... but it was funny. It's been awhile since I posted an episode and I thought it was time to drop a line to you all.Just an update, hope everyone is doing well.   

I am rapidly coming Full Circle as my situation evolves. Things are fluid and I have had to re-record this episode three times now as everything changes faster than I can record. In any case, this is an update or a status report if nothing else. 1 step forward and 2 steps back is how things seem to be going. Cheating, using bots to create a huge subscriber base as well as the hate and bashing that goes on. Doing video or podcasting is a passion for many. It takes something special to rise above everyone else. There's a lot of content out there and it's not slowing down. Pet Abuse more specifically, where I rant a bit on those who take on the responsibility of pet ownership without giving any forethought to the time, expense and care that goes into providing a healthy and prosperous environment for these creatures. I recap and then talk a bit about taking some home time with my daughter Allison in San Jose, CA. We tried to go see the movie HOSTEL but found that it had been pulled from theaters for graphic violence.   

Original Air Date: January 29, 2006Recorded in Billings, MT parked at a Flying J Truck Stop. Mostly disjointed rambling about problems posting video to iTunes. I answer a couple of emails from listeners and then talk a bit about places I'd like to settle down and buy a house. I was surprised to find Rapid City, SD to be appealing as I had always thought of the Dakotas as pure wasteland...   

Original Air Date: January 25, 2006Recorded in Mt. Vernon, IL where I talk about customer service, or the lack of it as I relate some experiences involving poor service. Best Buy and Fry's Electronics make the list along with fast food chains and in particular I talk about my experience at a TA Travel Center in Ontario, CA where I tried to purchase a gallon of gasoline and after being verbally abused was asked to leave! A complaint was filed but nobody ever followed up with me from the TA Corporate Offices...    

Original Air Date: October 29, 2005Recorded in Cullman, AL this episode includes my first sad attempt to include music in my intro.. I discuss my travels & a bit of talk about hours of service and how it affected me. Discussion of software that I was using to record my shows & various other rambling. These shows were primarily recorded for my family and friends back home originally but as the podcast grew I began to address other trucking podcasters and the public in general, you will notice that change in upcoming GJ episodes.    

Original Air Date: October 5, 2005Recorded in Witchita Falls, TX where I do a recap of our recent travels before discussing a web based GPS positioning widget I was tinkering with. Mind you, this was before widgets and GPS positioning were popular on the web. After that I review Google Earth.Again, this episode is truncated near the end... I apologize.   

Original Air Date: September 30, 2005This where it all began... Very short "test cast" that I did to get the ball rolling. This podcast ends abruptly and I was unable to locate the draft file that contains the entire recording. I don't think more than 20 or 30 seconds is missing however.    

Turning back the pages today, I reminisce about my driving days and in particular, The Gear Jammer...I had a blast doing that show. Although I only did 12 episodes, this is where my podcasting journey all began. I miss trucking and will play some clips from past Gear Jammer Episodes. In addition, I am going to include a previously unreleased interview I did during the GrindKing days. I had an opportunity to interview a woman who I dubbed CrackHead Kim.Kim was a prostitute and Crack addict struggling to recover.. This interview takes place at a Motel 6 in Sacramento, CA just after my accident that resulted in my quitting my job and direclty prior to my arrival at The Vortex....   

The year was 1988. I was 25 years old and homeless by choice. Living in a tent near some percolation ponds, my only companion was a dog named Gypsy that I had adopted from the pound. Each day was a struggle to get through. Overall I was unhappy with myself and the world I had been cast into. Gypsy made things seem better and things went as well as they could until one day she was abducted...In each episode of Fragments I will reveal a bit more of my personal history as I take you for a short trip into my past. Join me as I pick an event, tragedy, crisis or triumph and relate the story to you as it took place from my perspective at the time.This mini-series is intended to compliment the Confessions saga and fill in the gaps by detailing the more important points in my life. Each of these stories is a dramatization of the actual events that took place, produced in audio book fashion as I tell the tale.

It's been two years since my arrival here at what Annie has dubbed "The Vortex" and I seem to be moving in place. Going nowhere fast. My original intent was maybe based on my dismal outlook on things, I had decided to stay for an undetermined period and pour my money and time into fixing up this rotting husk of a trailer. In the last six weeks I have given serious thought to my situation. Friends have made an effort to get through to me, trying to raise my spirits and at the same time enlighten me as to the reality of where I stand. My friends say the things that are expected of them, like a routine that has been rehearsed many times over. I respond in like, always giving assurances that I appreciate what they are saying and that I will think about things. It's been hot and windy here. I've been off for a few days trying to finish jobs around here as well doing some script writing. Today I discuss some of the other audio projects I'm working on and introduce a new collaborator who I've casted for a voice acting role.
