We live in a world full of distractions. Sometimes these distractions can draw our heart away from Jesus. Martha, hosting the presence of Jesus in her house yet, was distracted from him by all the preparations she was doing for him. Mary on the other hand was drawn to the feet of Jesus to listen to his words. It's the story of two hearts one drawn away from his feet while the other heart was drawn to his feet. But the heart at the center of the story was the heart of Jesus. It's his part that is drawn to us that draws us to him. Every day we are given opportunities to go with the flow in our culture or speak up and change the conversation around us. Through the story in Acts 2 when Peter declared the apostles are not drunk but filled with the Holy Spirit, he changed the environment of that culture. We have the same opportunity and authority today to change the mindset of our city, our family and ourselves.

The last part of an eight part series on the Lord’s Prayer, this message focused on the phrase…"Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” What does it mean to pray this? Jesus is very clear in the gospels on the mandate for believers to forgive others in the same fashion God has forgiven us. Yet so many people seem to struggle with forgiveness. Pastor Jim and Lindsay Salyards team up to present the principles of God’s word concerning forgiveness. If you have been wounded and have struggled to forgive, this message will undoubtedly challenge you to ask God to help you walk in the freedom of forgiveness.

The lord's prayer is a prayer between a father and his children. As his children we live to cause His name to be hallowed, His kingdom to come and His will to be done. As a father He meets the needs of His children. It is perfectly normal for a child to request their father to meet their daily needs. This message will challenge you to see the pattern Jesus laid out for our lives which should be about His name, His kingdom and His will as He gives us our daily bread.

The story of John the Baptist is one with great depth as he is the one chosen to preach a message of repentance and forgiveness that leads to the people to be prepared for the Messiah, Jesus. This message, based on the calling of John the Baptist shows how we all should prepare ourselves and others for Jesus now and eternity.

As part of the ongoing Lord’s Prayer series this message centers on the phrase “your will be done.” What are the implications of praying such a prayer? How does God perform His will upon the earth? What part do we play in co-operating with Him as He does that? This message attempts to unravel these questions and challenge us to become people who not only pray “your will be done” but also be part of His will being done on the earth.

Your kingdom come is part of the prayer that Jesus said to pray. What does that mean? How does that happen? We are living in a day and age when the manifestation of God’s kingdom is desperately needed. Praying for it demands that, we as believers, live, act and speak in a capacity that allows God to reveal His kingdom through us. Praying for His kingdom to come means living so His kingdom can be seen.

This is the third message in a series on the Lord’s Prayer. When Jesus said to pray “hallowed be your name” what was He intending? Certainly the name of the Father is to be hallowed, but was this only to be meant as a declaration of praise or something more? This message causes us to see the prayer as a petition to the Father to “cause” His name to be hallowed on the earth and how that impacts us as believers.

This message is a followup to the message recently preached entitled: Our Father. The premise is for us as believers to grasp the idea that we indeed have a Father who is in heaven and the implications of that for our lives. We, as His children on the earth, navigate this life differently because of the One who is “in heaven”. This message will challenge you to live on the earth with our hearts and eyes towards the Father who is “in heaven.”

Martin Luther is reported to have said: “If he could just understand the first two words of the Lord’s Prayer, he would never be the same again.” The implications of those two words are profound for believers. When Jesus told His disciples to pray beginning with those two words, it was more than just a prayer to be said by rote memory but rather something that brings a powerful dimension of identity. This message will cause you to see the full dimension of praying and living under the banner of OUR father.

Paul told the Galatians that Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age. The problem however, is that we still live in this present evil age so how did He rescue us? Is it a now thing or just a future thing? It’s both. Even though I live in an age where evil seems to be rampant, I am reduced from its power. Countless places in scripture show us God’s people being in a place of evil yet not under the power of that evil. Daniel, Joseph and numerous others show us what it looks like to be rescued from this evil age but not removed from this evil age.

Our dear friend Bishop Tommy Reid delivered this powerful message on the glory of God and what he perceives to be a great awakening for the church in America. Using the book of Habakuk he spoke of the coming day when the glory of God is going to come to the church in a dimension we have never known. This message will challenge you and cause you to hunger for the knowledge of the glory of the Lord and how it transforms our lives, churches and our cities.

Jesus was invited to the house of a Pharisee when the sinful woman showed up to the disdain of the Pharisee. Breaking her vial she poured out her perfume and her love for the One who would change her life. The testimony out of the mouth of Jesus was simple: “She loved much.” When she broke that vial of perfume to pour out the expression of her love she became a vessel to receive the love of Jesus. This message will cause you to ask yourself: “do I love much?” It is also a reminder of just how much He loves you.

After His resurrection Jesus taught His disciples for 40 days about the kingdom of God. The disciples then asked if that would be the moment Jesus would restore the kingdom to Israel. Would this be the moment they would receive the power to rid themselves of Rome? Would this be the moment they would get the power to overcome the kingdom that had overcome them? They wanted power. Jesus promised them power; not the power of this world but the power of another world. The power of God’s kingdom in the midst of the kingdoms of the world. It would be a power like no other they had ever experienced. That power is still for believers today and this message will cause you to thirst for a power from another dimension.
