Yoga is a great way to wake up in the morning. Some of these poses you can do while still in bed. Others you will be able to do them next to the bed. This sequence of poses will take less than 10 minutes so set your alarm 10 minutes earlier and do these yoga poses to really awaken your senses and make you feel alive. The first couple of poses are done lying down. One of the best ways to start your day is to take a moment to really stretch your whole body and calm your thoughts by taking in deep chest breaths. Its amazing what you can accomplish in just 9-10 minutes every day. As you are still in bed you should be warm and always if you can do, be warm to do these stretches. So performing these yoga poses after a morning workout or even after a hot shower is optimal. These poses will make your morning routine even easier as you will be calm and relaxed. They will make you feel strong, flexible and grounded. You can also do them at any point during your day or as a cool down after your workout.
