The Israelites encountered the Amalekites after God brought them water from a rock through supernatural intervention. The attack of the enemy came right after a time of refreshing with God. Joshua fought evil in the valley while Moses went to the throne of God upon the hill above. All through the battle they knew one thing -- God is the source of our victory!
