Our friend, Bishop Robert Stearns was with us for our Sunday services leading us into a powerful time in the Lord. Here's a brief synopsis of his message. The people of Israel were facing a transitional time in their history as Saul was their king, but God had anointed a new king named David. Saul had displeased the people and God took his anointing leaving Saul with a system but no power. David, on the other hand, had the anointing of God but no system. The people were at a place where they would have to choose between sticking with the system or putting their hearts with the anointed. Using this as the backdrop Bishop Stearns uses the tribe of Issachar as a challenge for the church today. This message highlights upon the three things that caused Issachar to put their hearts with the anointed: A Prophetic Ear, An Apostolic Understanding and Covenantal Unity.
