McCarthy’s Mouthfuls – What did Mike McCarthy say to the media earlier today? Audibles & Analytics and Yinz Know Ball podcast host Jon Ledyard joined the show. Jon said the best-case scenario for the Steelers at 21 would be Vega Ioane to help finish up the offensive line. Jon thinks there is ‘minimal difference’ between pick 10 and pick 30, in terms of prospect rank. He loves the middle portion of this draft, so it’s nice that the Steelers have a lot of picks to use. Jon said Spencer Fano is a player he is starting to zone in on as a Steelers option on Thursday night. Is there a chance we see a run on tackles in the 1st round that could muddy the Steelers’ waters? Jon doesn’t love Denzel Boston as a separator, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be a good NFL WR.
