Paying Ridiculous Attention To Jesus

Rick and the Becky-nator are back with the first episode in a new series we’re calling “The Shocking Kindness of Jesus.” It’s the theme of a new book Rick is mulling as he prepares to propose it to publishers. That book will be called Snakes & Stones: The Shocking Kindness of Jesus. It’s based on the the sneaky little parable Jesus tells the crowd in Matthew 7: “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” In this first episode of the series, we’ll explore the kindness of Jesus in the midst of our grief.
